Autumn 2012 @ Mungyeongsaejae (문경새재) part 1

The fifth Autumn I have in Korea ..well not consecutively. On Oct. 27 I went to Andong and other places, but this one that I am telling about was in Gyeongsang province: it is actually a national park to preserve the historical sites scattered around the trekking tracks along the way...

yes...along the way...up the mountainous terrains and muddy roads during the shower and heavy rains that drenched the roads into the forest..
Despite the heavy rain that soaked me deep into the chilling bones...^^, I did not mind it at all whatsoever...since the breathtaking beauties and wonders that I encountered along the way.

And..what's more...lots of people were also doing the same thing. walk and walk up up up ...for I guess more than 15 km and it took us for about 4 hours...

Rocks, protruding rocks along the way, water ways, danpung, autumn leaves....

ponds, muddy pond...as simple as the one above...was enough to make me stop walking!

Then...continued the journey again..and again...under the rooftop of red, yellow, orange leaves of Autumn...

The stream or creek as some call it...was the one long-winding wonder that seemed to accompany s along the way. It was full of many-shaped unimaginable rocks...

picturesque scenery like this was so mesmerizing that I could not help myself from not taking the pictures, of course. Who would want to miss this Autumn follies?

This is the best picture I took I guess. Well, with no camera, only the built-in smartphone camera as my lenses....I captured the beauty of Autumn 2012.
A serene beauty indeed!

Heaps of rocks piled up by some people were ordinary and easy-to-encounter phenomenon of  Korea's natural wonder, especially the ones with any historical and religious background...

Oops...it was shaky.

A pose for a while...

then...Seong so bin, my friend, came along...

...continued on walking and walking and finding more and more interestingly different views of Autumn..

A water-mill that seemed to be the only one I saw on that track. Well, there were other climbing or walking or tracing tracks to follow...but we adhered to what our professor asked us to do: find the three gates (3개 관문).

This is the water way used to bring the water down along the wooden pipes.
ooohh..no..another shaky camera.

It may look the same over and over again...but boy oh boy...being zapped into the autumn of Korea really has somewhat made me 싱송생송해졌어요......more and more restless..

I just wish that I could bring the beauty into Seoul and put it right on the veranda.

A peep into or through a two divided branches of tree..a .
So...who would not want to spend some time?
