Bismillahirrohmanirrohim.... This is the place where I am jotting down my daily lives, my experiences, travels, joys, and things I cherish in life.. along with my family's journeys. This has been a great and will be a beautifully ridden life. In short, did that, been there, will be...all those vistas.

A 4-Family Trip to Nami Island
Eyra and I took the bus to Cheongnyangnyi station since we got to buy the ticket first.
As for the ladies....(gee..I'm the only man who went with all of them).
See? my wife's sisters (tante Yuni and budhe Ning) and our colleague, Ms. Park Hyun Ju--who came all the way from Daejon to join us)--and ms Belina and her Mom who happened to be in Seoul to have a visit to their relatives.
Waiting for the ITX train that would take us to Gapyeong Station (the nearest train station to Nami Island).
It's October. Autumn. ...a good reason to go (again) to Nami island.
On board the ITX Train.^^
It's so fully crowded that...some passengers were just standing or sitting on the aisle.
After we arrived at Gapyeong, we took a queue before boarding the Gapyeong City Tour Bus..which is the CHEAPEST and EASIEST way of enjoying one-day tour along the famous sites (Nami Island, Petite France, and Garden of the Morning Calm)--which happened to be our itinerary for our 2-day trip.
Put a smile and let's enjoy the day...
With only 5,000 Won/adult, we enjoyed the hop-on-hop-off bus....
Then..a few minutes later..we're on board the ferry taking us to Nami Island.
Park ssnm.....with Eyra and Freya.
Gone Girl...나를 찾아줘
Ok..I got to admit that I was drawn or dragged myself into seeing this movie simply because it's become the much-hyped movie for the past week in Korea. Then..I read the news that it once got its top box office in the States. hmm..there must be something 'in' it. I guess...
And I my guess was not far off.
I was unprepared for what I was in for.
I didn't have the slightest idea of what's the movie about...except the fact that I had this assumption based on the trailer that it's a family drama...about a missing wife whose husband may be the one behind the case.
BUT..OMG...I was choked up and breathless....along the movie.
It's way beyond my expectation.
I won't spoil anything....(after all this is not a review..not at all)
for anyone who wants to have a twist after twist....after twist..
wow....this is the movie.
"now..I'm sort of thinking...hmm...whom am I marrying with.." hahaha...just joking, Ma...^^
Happy B'Day Pak Nugroho
We had lunch at (again..and again) our favorite restaurant: Seven Springs @ Youido.
located on the 20th floor of an office complex in one of Youido's business district. ...to celebrate Pak Nugroho's Birthday.
Cheers. Selfie...time.^^
Selamat Ultah Pak Nugroho.
With some (not all) members of our Indonesian Team...
More selfie time. oops..where's pak Nugroho.
What an autumn. |
Taking a walk...after a fulfilling lunch.^^
Back to the office....crossing a not-busy-street in front of KBS.
Jokowi's on the Front Cover of Time Magazine
Going to Youngpoong bookstore @ IFC Mall just before heading to a lunch date with our office fellows.....and found that Jokowi's on the front cover of Time Magazine.
Oh...I din't know that. but.then I remembered the fuzz being talked about weeks before...among netizens in Indonesia..that he'd be featured in the magazine.
Ok...anyhow...congratulations to Pak Jokowi for being the president of Indonesia for the next 5 years.
Semoga diridhoi semua yang dilakukan untuk bangsa dan negara, ya, Pak. Amin.
Little Parade in the Rain
Parade of exactly the same umbrella....
Yes..lots of the kids were bringing along the umbrella they got from a company that visited the school the previous day.
Eyra, too, was bringing her own.
The transparent umbrellas for the kids.
Autumn rain...somewhat accentuated the 'breezing cold' of autumn wind.
Then...off I ventured off into another section of a street in Seoul...
only to find that even bushes of plants growing on the fences had turned into colors!!!

Autumn 2014 @ Nami Island ^^ again!!!
Finally my wife's sisters are here in Korea. They really want to go here during Autumn.
and..now they are here.
The most beautiful season ...I think.
the colorful life....we let ourselves absorbed into.
The indescribably clear blue skies.
Yellow gold trodden leaves...
Or...this majestically unbelievable colors!!!

Huge Inflatable Rubber Duck @ Seoul
She's floating graciously at Lotte's Seokcho's Lake for the past week.
With a police line segregating the avid seekers from not entering too close to the lake, the rubber duck is yet visible from the nearest point to the lake.
Eyra and Freya, too, were enjoying the DUCK. oh, they made tiny yellow ducks from play doh before going to see the real ONE.
Just look at the crowd.!!!
Yes..it's Rubber DUCK project. scheduled to run until November 14, 2014.
What a show you put on, Eyra. ^^
Yes..this has been the talk of the people...
UNTIL....
the DUCK just DEFLATED this morning. :(
Hope somebody's mending her soon.!!!!!
The Global Impact of South Korean Popular Culture
Finally, the book in which one of my papers is included has finally published.
Yes...I just got it today.
Thanks to Dr. Valentina Marinescu from Romania, University of Bucharest--who also edited this volume.
It's been a great and long project until this book is published.
Nothing to express but 'thank you' for having finally made this happen to everyone involved.
My special gratitude goes for Dr. Valentina Marinescu.
Simply love it.
