Yes..the day we've been waiting for finally arrived.
Indonesians living abroad got a chance to vote ahead of their counterparts in Indonesia who had to wait until July 9 to cast their ballots. As for us in Korea, Sunday July 6th, 2014 was the day when we could exercise our right to vote.
Mama, after casting her ballot, was about to put the paper into the box.
We took our kids to the poll to let them know about the event. Well, of course, they barely knew a thing about it...but the commotion, the euphoria, the fun, and the atmosphere that they felt and saw right on the spot...might at least give them an idea that we--adults--vote for the leader of the nation.^^
now my turn to get the picture taken.
With mbak Anna Kusumah. Well, lots of people did manage to come all the way from all corners of Seoul to Indonesian Embassy at Youido to cast their ballots.
Bumped into Roy and Gemilang..my fellows who came to Korea 3 years ago...on the same plane!! We barely met even though we lived in the same city...but today..we're happy to meet again..and yes..they're graduating this August.
People lined up to check their names on the register and were ready to cast their vote.
Before going home, we took a snap shot in front of the Embassy...with Eru's picture on the background. And with the banner outlining the pictures of two candidates for presidency.
Prabowo+Hatta Rajasa vs Jokowi+ Jusuf Kalla
hmm...I wonder who's gonna be the next Indonesian president (2014-2019).
May the Best win.^^
