Weekend: Bicycling Are We!!! (part 1)

With each of us has our own bike, cycling around would be a better way to enjoy a bright late afternoon. We're lucky to live just near a creek that leads to the major river like Han River in Seoul. So, we brought our bikes,yup..just the three of us. Freya and Eyra on the lead..and me? as their guardian Daddy. ^^
Seoul is blessed to have a lot of bike-lanes..yes..literally these lanes are specially designed for the pleasure and comfort of bikers who are on the rise.
Lest I'd didn't have a chance to take pictures (since I AM always behind the camera)...so let's take a picture before we go on our adventure, kids.
Where's Freya? She'd already pedaled herself up in front ..way ahead of us. She just didn't budge to any word I said during this supposed-to-be bike-along-together.^^
Oh, there she is She'd just been back from the road. Looking at this picture, I just can't believe that it is actually located right in the middle of the bustling area in Seoul. I mean...the city has so much to offer already..but the fact that this kind of (once again..I say it again..^^)...bike lane is a great comfort to city-dwelling.
Who would've thought, eh?
See that red leaves on the trees far beyond? and the greens all around it?
After pedaling for about 1.5 km, we reached the bigger lanes. Yes, bike-lanes in Seoul are so interconnected to one another what one could actually go from the western tip of the city to the most eastern part of city just by following the rivers...yes..be it small or big ones. How cool is that, eh?
Just follow and ride along these well-designed lanes...everyone can enjoy having a great time.
It looks hot...well, it was. But, the sheer happiness and joy we had kinda zapped away the fear of being exposed to the heat. We kinda loved it.
Once the kids found out about this traffic-education lanes specially designed for kids, they ended up spending most of their time there...and as for me? Nothing! I just watched them pedaling back and forth and circling the arena.......
Freya cannot ride a bike, just as yet. See? She's using her sister's our-wheeled bike--which I've been planning to modify by unplugging the small wheels...but did not yet find time to do so..since I got to make sure that Freya is ready to.
A snapshot of a river bank.
This is located around 4 km away from where we live.
Yes, we rode for as long as 8 km in total.
Not that much for me..but it was for the kids. ^^
