Busan....... It's the city of Film festivals. Dubbed as the Cannes of Asia. No other than Busan.
Now, I'd like to recollect what I saw during my visit to the very place where Busan International Film Festival set its feet for the first time. It's BIFF Square or PIFF square (Pusan IFF).
It's the place where we could see the traces and the legacies of the festival.
Just like the one in Hollywood Walk of Fame, this is the place where actresses, actors, directors, and other dignitaries in the film industry left their marks on Busan street.
Oh, I gook a chance to get a glimpse look at France actress's Juliette Binoche's right palm mark at the PIFF square...신기하다.^^ (hmm ...it felt weirdly interesting).
During this trip, I loved the way Busan city promotes its city. They distributed to us some kind of transparent card with an imprinted I LOVE BUSAN inscription on it. Whenever we see something that we like, we might as well take the picture of it with the see-through card as its visage. Cool, right?
For those who might wonder what the PIFF square may look like, this is it. See the high-rise buildings on its both sides, they are mainly the cinemas where films are screened during the festivals. Of course, at the moment they are now served as the theaters or cineplex.
