Afternoon: 2nd day of Ramadan

Eyra waiting for her turn to read the Iqra book
Taking the kids to the Mosque to have their daily TPA (Taman Pendidikan Al Quran). This time around, though, Eyra is sulkily and reluctantly wearing jilbab. So she isn't, neither is Freya. :)

But the good point of sending the kids to this kind of activities is to have them mingled with other kids in the neighborhood during Ramadan and at the same time they are learning some basic knowledge of Iqra' (reading Arabic). Since there are about 30 kids boys and girls around with only 5 tutors, the situation is a bit like controlled chaos. well, imagine the kids in their spare time having their chance of meeting their peers while at the same time the whole Mosque and its front yards are available for them to explore.
Freya running around inside the Mosque:)
So what happens is while others are studiously learning how to recite or read the Arabic, the others are playing around. And...this is what it is all about. All kids are allowed to do whatever they want to do during this TPA time. Of course, there are moments when they are asked to follow the rules.
But hey...this is the kids' stuffs in their early stages of learning.
