The 'Frozen' Mom's Birthday

Well, yes...it was Mama's birthday....sort of. No, it was hers. But, did the 'Frozen' birthday cake indicate that it was truly and really ...really her birthday? ^^:=) 

The fact was that...this Frozen cake was Eyra and Freya's pick. They desperately wanted to have this particular cake for their Mom:) Okay.....I just couldn't say no to what they'd been dreaming of having since Eyra's birthday on April.  

As usual, it was Freya and Eyra who were more than enthusiastic in 'blowing out' the candles.  They sort of did it for their Mom.

As for me, the fact that we did manage to celebrate the kids' Mom's birthday was really a bless in itself. Oh, we had this early in the morning right before I went to campus and the kids went to school. 

*Oh, actually..the first reason as to why the kids chose this Frozen cake was simply because they were eager to have Olaf and Elsa's non-edible garnishes.^^

Frozen Really Froze Them Up

 It's been like two months now..since they got hooked into the magical world of Frozen. And...I thought it was going to be over or at least...diminishing...but, boy..oh ..boy..I was so wrong. 

These are only three samples of what they're crazy about. 

Stickers,story-book, coloring page are some of the activities that they enjoy whenever they get home from school. 

Luckily...books in Korea are relatively affordable so it's a good thing that they know what they like.....and I know that I could bring those magic into their world.

Wait...We got to see the Korean-version of FROZEN!

We did see Frozen (겨울왕국) with other friends in February. I got admit that the film seemed to have a magnet of its own. Well, this is what happened...we saw it three times. Hmm what actually happened was that....the previous ones we saw were the original (English) version..and my daughters had been asking (read: begging) me to take them to see the movie in Korean (the dubbing version of Frozen). 

So, here we were. Just one day before the school started, I reserved 3 seats for 겨울 왕국 for the kids. I know that it may sound weird...but not at all...since...as much as they speak Indonesian and understand English...but....since they've been exposed to Korean life (and its language, naturally) for almost 3 years....they desperately wanted to see this Korean version of Disney's Frozen. Another reason?

Our ears have been bombardized by songs of the OST of Frozen in Korean version. So, of course..we're kind of curious of what the movie would sound like in Korean...which turned out to be on par with that of the original in English. 

Wow...those dubbers and singers are amazing. 

My salute and I took my hat off for them. And the kids turned out to love the Korean version as well. Now they sing along both versions. 아하!

Thanks to the quick and easy reservation system of CGV, I didn't have to bother taking a queue of buying or securing seats for any movie screenings. 

* and oh...Frozen: Congratulations for your OSCAR's win. 

You deserved it. 

FROZEN time!!!

One of the big hits that came to theaters in Seoul this January, er....February is Frozen (겨울 왕국-in Korean). The buzz is going around and gripping the ears of most people living in the peninsula. I am not exaggerating it...I mean...the OST of Frozen--which dubbed into Korean language...seemed to keep on ringing in our ears and even..not only ringing..but...vividly blasting into our ears on a daily basis since...the movie and the songs (especially, the main song "LET IT GO" ~ both the original (English) and Korean version) got a lot of people's attention. 

We, too, didn't want to miss a chance of witnessing another Disney movie--which is amazingly full of old-Disney movie, i.e. full of catchy and easy-to-listen songs....that the kids are also having fun of repeating and singing along.

We went to the cinema in FULL force. Three families with their kids...going to the cinema...was like a commotion in motion. But...hey..that was fun. 

Out of the four movies: of, course..Frozen beat the other three. Even...we watched it twice. ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
