My Brother, Wawan...

...and me...taking him for a ride.
the 1970s. It was in 1976...the year Wawan was born.
...and then we were growing up....
in our kindergarten years...gee...I still remember having the sweater and how itchy it could be at times. *giggles*
...this was taken at our grandparents' house.
and the rattan chair?.yup....I also remembered how it felt when I sat on it.
oh...time flew so fast....if we looked back.
but I cherish the moment and time we spent together growing up..

Childhood in Black and White & Color (?)

It's true that people cannot remember all. I didn't recall some of these except for the smell of my bike's rubber seat. I still vividly remembered the colors of my bike....but I did not remember the time when it was taken.
One thing for sure, though,....Wawan was so cute as a kid.
He's trying to walk. I guess it was in the early 1977 then. Wow... the brick gate of the house was intact...with 1945 inscription on it I supposed.
then....me on top of a motorcycle. ..at my grandparents' house. The relief or embossed wall painting at the back was my only recollection of it.
Me and my brother, Wawan, in front of our house front gate. Hmm..looked like I was grabbing his shirt preventing him from crawling away.
...then...me playing a guitar only for the sake of photo shooting.
I knew it since I didn't play any guitar back then....and neither do I now.^^
♡oh...where's my train now? AMAZINGLY. ..I still remember the smell of its corroded iron it was made of.
hmmm...Agung and Bapak....inscriptions I wrote by myself.
...at a photo studio? Along with my milk bottle? OH...please

Dinner @ Ayam Lodho Restaurant

The 2nd day of my stay in Kediri was celebrated by inviting the whole family for a dinner at a nearby restaurant....which later on I found out to be our Dad's favorite in town.
The whole family came, my sister, my brother and along with their children (my nephews and nieces).
Lala, Nana, Barra, and Ricky, their Dad.
and then my brother,Wawan's children...were all so excited to be having a dinner together.
Grilled fish turned out to be their favorite...
The restaurant is well situated not far from home..and the laid back atmosphere sort of helped us enjoy the night in a relaxing way...
Photo session at the parking lot before parting. Yes, my brother lives a bit far off so...
Why not take a picture before leaving, right?
Indeed, it's a great night. Being with the whole family...well not whole since my wife and kids were in Seoul when I visited home.^^
Bye bye Wawan. See you again soon.

When we were kids...

This is my brother, Wawan. I think he was about 8 y.o. or something. He's cute. I remember playing along with him all day long, fighting over something. And..yes..I do remember vividly the Puma T-shirt he was wearing in this picture.
Wawan, Nana, and me.
Time flies so fast. Each of us has our own children now. Wawan has three! Nana has two, and mine's two. I guess we've become a large family now. I miss them for sure. Bismillah, I do hope that we'll meet again. In the meantime I have to finish my PhD in Korea in 2 years time (around 2015-Bismillahirrohmanirrohim)and then I am ready to be back to Indonesia. Or, during Winter or Summer vacation, I am sure I'll be heading back home for a vacation in between.
and..just look at this. This is Wawan and Nana who were ready for school. Hmm...I think it was in the late 1980s I guess. I still remember those times. Oh, at the back our auntie Eko was sitting. She now has three children, too.

Me Back Then...and Now..

My brother 'Wawan' and my sister 'Nana' and me...
I suppose it was taken when I was in my high school. Oh, my...
Now, each of us has married with children. Time has gone so fast...and look at us now..
we've grown up... and.. me for sure.
I started losing my hair and ...practically I could call myself as not having any hair; especially since I always have my hair cut every 10 days. Even until now...
Back then..I used to feel not that confident in showing off my baldness. So, I was often seen wearing a headscarf or any other headdress^-^over my head.
Or...wearing any winter cap that may fit my style. Well, in short...I'd do anything to cover my head from being flaunted open for public showing.(chuckles)^^.
Surely..at times I still find it ridiculous and ..a bit unbeliavable that I did have some hair back then.
I did not know what had happened...but one thing for sure...
...going out without a headdress or any covering would be unthinkable....^^
BUT NOW.....
This is me....as of 2013.
Happy New Year to you, Suray.
Well....I am accepting myself as who I am . ..
