The Oscar-Worthy Movies ...Worth-Watching?

Definitely saw it: three times. (dramatically hooked and zapped into it). 

Hmm..the black & white movie I don't think I'll e'er watch--not that I don't want to...well, the question is....how and where to watch it....:_ )ㅋㅋㅋ

Yep. Hauntingly absorbed me into some flashes of bitterly dark history* of the humankind....(hmm..history, eh?) look around us or in other parts of the world. 

Was it a sin to say that  I was entertained by this vulgarly-exposed pursuit of pleasure (when we can have them all??)^-^

Absorbed into 'Gravity' (....Again!)

Is it that good that I watched it again???

A BIG ROUND "YES"

I might've been crazy to go to the theater again to watch 'Gravity' for the 2nd time.

This time, I didn't need to watch it in 3D or in IMAX for that would've cost me:-)

so, instead...I just had my free morning time, after all, all movies before 12 noon cost only a mere 5,000 Won. 

So...there I sat again in the H-seat, only 4 rows away from the screen...so as to make me close enough to 'experience' and let myself plunge and get absorbed into the 'space'.

* Even for my second time of drifting myself into the space, I was still spell-bound and dumbfounded by the sheer magnitude of the movie magic.

I was still squirming and barely able to catch my breath.

I guess it's one of the visually stunning movies I've seen in a year.

I am soooo in love with the Looooooong Shots of the movie. 

It feels like the camera and the whole crew of the movie really went up to space to film this masterpiece:-)

For anyone who's seen it, just go grab the ticket and see it for yourself.

It doesn't need to go and jump ourselves into the future to 'experience' the space odyssey, it turns out that...we could be wow-ed and awed by the breathlessly endearing yet terrifying space right above our Mother Earth.

A Seamlessly Crafted 'Gravity'

After two days of cramming into the overloaded work and assignment, I got to make sure that I was 'in' the premiere of the much-talked about Alfonzo Cuaron's Gravity.
I just came back from the IMAX 3D...feeling numb, dizzy, bedazzled, and stupefied.
well, yes..that's exactly what I was feeling and still having those feeling a little bit at the moment as of I am writing this.

In fact, this is what happened:

it's so intensely distressing that I squirmed and kicked the seat in front of me (twice)!!!

Gravity is, well, not like what I thought before. I saw the trailer, of course. and it turned out that the trailer only gives us a glimpse of what it DID happen in the movie.
Glad to have decided to watch it in IMAX 3D. The sinking feeling of being sucked into the dark space with the blue mother earth underneath or over(?) us was really mind-boggling.
Yup, I think I got to agree to some reviews which stated that 'Gravity' is like Discovery Channel's Space Adventure WITH a disaster.

But, it turned out...the movie is not about disaster, not about astronauts, not about space, not about the satellite debris that initiated all hell broke loose, no...it's simply about the very basic feeling of human's fear in the face of and during coming to terms with danger (or death, for some reason).
What and how would we feel if we know that we're in the grave danger of facing death....out in space...
well, metaphorically speaking, I think --and I am sure most of the audience--would agree....that despite the fact that the backdrop of the movie IS, in fact, in space...it actually LIES within our heart.
I cannot help but thinking to myself...that yes...life is worth-living no matter what.
It's the simplest feeling that makes us 'human'
Gosh...do I wanna watch it again? yes...but not necessarily in IMAX.
Maybe a digital cineplex would be just fine..well...IMAX would definitely a MUST-GO place to experience what Alfonzo Cuaron has brought us.

This is by far the best 'survival' movie I've seen.
It happens in our lifetime. right now. not in the far-far-away land or centuries in the future..
nope...it IS about us....through the lenses of Sandra Bullock's Ryan Stone and George Clooney. Well ..those two actors are truly amazing in capturing the imaginative vision of Cuaron.

What a wonderful experience indeed it was.

Watched in in IMA--> and it was surely worth every WON of it. ^^

Thor & Gravity: worth-to-wait movies? Looks to be so..

Got a chance to see 'Rush' @ CGV Youido. and I was passing through an ad about the coming movie: THOR. If I got it correctly, Korea would be ahead of other countries in premiering THOR: The Dark World. hmmm..I wonder what would the catch be..for having it premiered right here in Korea, first? 

and..I think it looks like it is being serious. Judging from the huge poster of THOR dropped down at the main atrium of IFC Mall @ Youido, I guess...it's gonna be so.

so, seen from the trailer- I think I may have to watch it.:-)

Then...I was going out of the theater where I watched 'RUSH' only to find that another coming-soon movie (in Korea): the much-talked-about Gravity is about to hit IMAX 3D in Korea.

what about this one?

I have to make sure that I am in it when it's premiering in Korea.
