2년이 지났는데 즐거웠던 추억이 가득!!

엄마.아빠와 함께 졸업식을 마무리했다. 

우리 사랑스러운 프레야를 위해 와야 했다.

유치원에서 졸업 사진까지 찍다니 참 신기하다.

프레야....축하해요^^ 사랑해요.

Freya's Graduation (part 3)

It's the 졸업장 수여식...each student came up on stage to receive the graduation certificate from 원장님.. the head of kindergarten.

A picture of each kid was displayed on the screen while he/she was called upon to receive the 졸업장. Eyra...way to go, girl.

Then...after shaking hands with 원장님, facing towards the audience..... 

..bowing to show some respect and gratitude...before going back to her seat. 

then...she's back to her seat.

The ceremony continued.

I called her name and clicked the camera as she smiled and waved her hand.

축하해, 프레야.

Winter's Coming!!!

겨울이 온다. 드뎌 학교에 가는 날이 제일 행복한 날이 되었다니... 

근데...지금 방학이라서...눈을 보려면 ..학교까지 갈 필요가 없이...집근처에 쌓인 눈이 많아서..그냥 거기서 가서...눈과 놀라 가게 되죠.

참..... 

이렇게 신난 모습을 처음이 아니지만...눈배경속에 신나는 표정이 ..

.참...우리 마음에게 

행복하고 따뜻하게 만들어 주는 순간이다.

Being a kindergarten kids looked so fun after all. 

It has been a wonderful 2-year school time for Freya @ Hwigyeong Kindergarten.

Yes..it's been 2 years since Freya got enrolled at a Korean Government sponsored Kindergarten.

And..the time has come for the final show of kids' achievement or fun during the 2-year school year.

This is a video showing Freya and her friends' performance.

What a great night indeed.

I was not able to attend the whole procession since I was in Indonesia back then. 

But..judging from the pictures and the video...boy oh boy...^^ 

They sure did have a great time.

I think the teachers did a great job of .......training patiently...^^ all of these cute little kids.. 

But...hey..the kids themselves do have some talents...^^ 

The best part of it all..is the fact that they learned a great deal of having to collaborate with others. 

The perfect harmony...

and the efforts put into it..is enormously beautiful.

Going to School in Winter (2014)

Winter's school holiday's officially begun, of course. But, there are pictures that I should've posted on this blog weeks ago. So, here are some of them. I was (as usual) taking the kids to school.

It's winter....yes..no snow was visible. But, it's cold. 

ear-muffs. thick jackets. gloves= indispensable accessories.

wait, accessories? nope, they are must-have equipment.

even with the morning sun's shining...it's still shivering cold.

Then...off we went to a bus stop...waiting for the bus. 

and prior to all of those outdoor steps, we got to take a subway, first.

Freya's On Her Way to School

With an outfit she picked herself, she's on her way to school.

I just followed her along the way right until the gate of her school.

A Daily Routine^^

자꾸 자꾸 화 Just like Freya...^^

 

On a weekly basis, on Mondays, Freya has a chance to borrow books and makes a report on it. Surely, all the books are in Korean.^^ Well, she reads, speaks, and writes in Korean now.  Last week, she borrowed a book '자꾸자꾸 화' a story about a kid who always gets angry whenever things get wrong or in several other occasions...just like Freya (usually) does. She finds herself in the book. ㅋㅋㅋ

That's why she really loves it. 

She did learn something from the book. Now that she knows how her frowned face could trigger an endless chain of events as depicted in the book...she now changed a bit. At least...she now tries to control her emotion. 

And another book ...ooops..the picture.

Anyway...books really help kids to learn, especially if they could discern (with the help of parents, of course) about the literal or even implicit messages out of the story.

Taking Freya to school.

Then...let her walk to school ...clad in hanbok. 

Oh..it's too early? yup...we came ...15 minutes earlier.

but...it's okay...Freya's sonsaengnim welcomed her.

Freya begins her summer vacation

It's the last day of school for Freya. Finally she officially begins her summer vacation. On the last day of school, lots of parents came to school to pick their kids up. As for me, it's my turn to meet her. I think I was among the veryyy few men or daddies who were there.

Well...then, Freya. Are you ready to have fun during the whole summer? 

Bye bye for now Hwigyeong Kindergarten..till we meet again at the end of Auguts.

*the funny thing was that....just as we stepped out of the school complex, Freya blurted out that she'd missed her friends already.*-*

Bubble Show @ Freya's Kindergarten

Summer vacation has finally arrived. But, before that...the school prepared pre-summer activities that included 'bubble show' at the school's auditorium. The invited performer did a good job of entertaining the kids and their parents.

Oh, Freya was granted a stand-inside-bubble gift for being 'nice' during the show.

Right after the show, the kids and their moms were ushered into the classroom to start 'making' their lunch. Yup..that's what they did.
