A Slice of Itaewon: 표면적으로 ...

Superficially. ..it's one of the sought-after districts that foreigners throng to on weekdays and weekends~to say the least.

What's not to like about it...even when this kind of place do exits at other parts of the city. But...definitely there's something more than this.

It looked glassy because it was raining...and calm as it looked to be. Again.표면적으로 ...

A bedazzling coffe shop at one of the busiest corners at the district looked so teasingly inviting to be and be seen. Again.표면적으로 ..

...but...what's the catch? It all depends. For what it's worth: Itaewon can be a spectacle for anyone who seeks for ..........in their life.

You name it, you get it.

and today....Itaewon looked so strangely tantalizing. ...since it's been raining all day.

yg sangat dan slalu kami inginkan...

menjalin silaturahmi...

antar kami WNI yg bekerja dan belajar di Korea.

...tak lengkap jika tak ada 인증샷  makanya kami pun foto bareng.

...syukur alhamdulilah kita semua sehat.

Ibu dan para warga Indonesia di bbrp wilayah Seoul.

...kami pun sempatkan utk bersama-sama.

Selamat berpuasa di Ramadan 2015.

Masjid Yongdeungpo

Siapa sangka bahwa di atap masjid Yongdeungpo kita bisa berehat-rehat santai menikmati tenggelamnya sang Surya? Yup..ini kuambil dari atas atap masjid Yongdeungpo. Wow....  

Dan....inilah atapnya..jika masih siang hari. Terlihat stasiunnya lengkap dengan berbagai aktivitasnya.. 

Jika malam hari akan terlihat seperti ini. Indahnya...

Nah..di bawah atap ini..ada apakah?

Anak-anak ikut kegiatan Pondok Ramadan.  

Saat Magrib tiba, kami pun mulai berbuka...*Oya, ini adalah kali pertamaku ke Masjid ini. 

Banyak jajanan pasar hasil 'potluck' dari berbagai keluarga yang hadir di acara Buka Bersama hari itu. 

Beberapa orang sholat sunnah dulu sebelum Magrib dimulai...

Ternyata..interiornya lebih bagus dari yang kubayangkan sebelumnya. Memang tak begitu besar, namun cukup untuk menampung beberapa puluh jamaah. 

Untuk para wanita, di sebelahnya ada juga ruangan khusus. 

Kudapati mbak Uswariyah sedang mempersiapkan menu bukanya. Ya...ibu yang satu ini memang super sibuk di mana-mana. Saya yakin perannya di Masjid ini besar pula. 

Solat Magrib sudah dimulai. Kusengaja ..took a step back...to capture this moment. 

Malam sudah beranjak..dan akhirnya kunaik lagi ke atap Masjid untuk mengabadikan Magrib di hari itu. June 2015. Ramadan di Seoul. 

 

Tepat pukul 10, kami pun segera pulang...yup..jaraknya lumayan jauh juga dari rumah.

This Year's the First & the Last Buka Puasa @ Rumah Sangwolgok

This year's last breaking-the-fast @ Sangwolgok House owned by mas Khoirul. 

Today's menu for breaking-the-fast was 불고기 or daging asap. Looks like everyone seemed to like it. 

Aris and om Wawan were busy 'barbecue-ing' the sliced beef.

While others, mostly the Moms, were busy preparing the side-dish. 

Thanks to Dikka for having left some kolak or coconut milk fruit cocktail. 

Then, excluding the photographer....lots of them seemed to enjoy the meal we prepared for today.  

Then, there was Om Kiky who's generous and close enough with teh kids.

Happy Hari Raya...1435 Hijriyah.

Happy Birthday, Freya....^^

The kids woke up to find out that their dolls were gone! But, as they reached the living room, they encountered this birthday party.

Freya, Eyra and their inseparable dolls were about to celebrate...the birthday. 

I know..I know...there is no birthday cake. But...do we need one, honey? 

That's a good girl. Does the sign indicate that you are into this, Freya?

Yes...a simple nod was enough. 

Then..off down with Nina the whale. 

Since it holds up to 45 kg, I guess it won't budge even if Freya and her sister are on top of it. 

But...for me..I won't do it..since it could pop off, if I did so.

Anyhow..Freya...I do hope that you love the idea behind preparing his work.

Chicken Soup without chicken....^^ well, that's a vegetarian-style *chicken* soup.

I love sprouts...and tempe, the fried soybean. Alhamdulillah...this Ramadan is both a bliss and a bless.^^

Seoul's Dream Forest @ Summer

 The green ..not that green...but still...green enough for the summer.

the best place to have Frisbee....!! 

It's one hour before Magrib and we're spending time to have the buka puasa at the park @ Dream Forest. I let Freya and her sister do stuffs they're desperate enough to do..Frisbee-ing.!! 

oh..and rope-jumping, too. I didn't know that they even brought it along with them. 

Or..running... 

Then...as the sun set and the sky's lit up with the lights from the far-down-below city lights, we began our buka bersama at the park. 

Tired, Eyra/ Ok..stop whatever you're doing and gather around...
