Getting in Touch with Eyra and Freya

I was in Kediri for a week..while my daughters were in Seoul. Yup..that left me with one option to meet them live..via Skype. So, we're skype-ing...to see how Eyra and Freya were doing.

The first thing that we saw was that Autumn had begun indeed. The leaves of the trees at the back of our apartment ..changed their colors. 

and..then...Freya showed up. Yes..we loved Skype-ing since it helped me connect and communicate wherever we are.

The next few hours...afterwards...I was out with my Mom..going on adventure ..searching for the dolphin and Kero Keropi-shaped rings!

Yes..we got to go from gold shop after shop just to find the particular rings that the kids wanted. 

It's a tedious job...but..did we find them?

Yup, we did. Not one..but two for each.

One Gold, One Silver. Not bad for a one-hour shopping spree. 

They looked cute and it's a good thing that Eyra and Freya loved them.

Off we went home..in the middle of drizzling...passing through a street where I used to go when we're still kids...the very place where we went for a swim. Yes, this is Kuwak area...where our favorite swimming pool was located. 

Oops...we stopped by to find some more snacks to bring back to Seoul.^^

This one is the infamous maicih snack ....the level 10 on its HOTNESS...I mean spicy-ness(?) 

Back home...we're ready for another selfie and skype-ing... 

Indeed, we loved it here.

Dinner @ Ayam Lodho Restaurant

 

The 2nd day of my stay in Kediri was celebrated by inviting the whole family for a dinner at a nearby restaurant....which later on I found out to be our Dad's favorite in town. 

The whole family came, my sister, my brother and along with their children (my nephews and nieces).

and then my brother,Wawan's children...were all so excited to be having a dinner together.

Grilled fish turned out to be their favorite...

The restaurant is well situated not far from home..and the laid back atmosphere sort of helped us enjoy the night in a relaxing way...

Indeed, it's a great night. Being with the whole family...well not whole since my wife and kids were in Seoul when I visited home.^^

Me Back Then...and Now..

My brother 'Wawan' and my sister 'Nana' and me...

I suppose it was taken when I was in my high school. Oh, my... 

Now, each of us has married with children. Time has gone so fast...and look at us now..

we've grown up... and.. me for sure. 

I started losing my hair and ...practically I could call myself as not having any hair; especially since I always have my hair cut every 10 days. Even until now...

Back then..I used to feel not that confident in showing off my baldness. So, I was often seen wearing a headscarf or any other headdress^-^over my head.  

Or...wearing any winter cap that may fit my style. Well, in short...I'd do anything to cover my head from being flaunted open for public showing.(chuckles)^^. 

Surely..at times I still find it ridiculous and ..a bit unbeliavable that I did have some hair back then. 

I did not know what had happened...but one thing for sure... 

...going out without a headdress or any covering would be unthinkable....^^

BUT NOW.....
