Seoul Central Masjid at Night

It's one of the things that I loved of going to Masjid..after dusk prayer. It's really giving something to look at...and to enjoy

The sky was bright blue...at night. Simply stunning.

The Masjid itself was majestically shining thanks to the lightings on its facades.

Winter did give it another look and feel....and being able to be there when it's emitting its own beauty...was a bless in itself.

I couldn't help myself....but...taking pictures from every angle available...even when it's minus 7 Celsius at night.

The barren tree branches...silhouettes....the sheer sight of it...indeed made me feel like being transported into a different place...though I knew that I was right in front of the Masjid.

The Allahu Akbar written on top...was also ablaze in lights..and it imbued the already enchanting sight of the Masjid.

Now..I walked to the right side of the parking lot to see what it looked like from there. Oh, the trees indeed gave it another feel and look.

Then..from another angle. This time around..I tried to take an angle from the stairs...

It's taken from the stairs leading to the Masjid. 

Built in 1974 and officially opened for public in 1976, this Masjid has been one of the Islamic symbols in Korea and in Seoul in particular. 

Seoul Masjid @ Itaewon on Friday Dec.25, 2015

It's a Xmas holiday and that means lots of people were able to attend the Friday prayer....^^

What I mean is that....Muslims in Korea...especially those working in the factories cannot attend the prayer weekly... 

...due to the loads of work or some restrictions....

...but...today was holiday...so..

Omg....subhanallah....lots of people turned up at the Mosque.

...the blue sky adorned the already festive atmosphere.

...and.. me? Yup....I came to the Masjid only to.find that it's so full and crowded....

...so the only available space was on top of the roof at a nearby building wuthin the Masjid complex.

...and that's why I managed to take these pictures from different angles.^^

...managed to see the throngs of jamaah dispersing out of the Masjid onto the narrow alley in front of the Mosque.

I think it's a blessing in.disguise.

I loved to be able to enjoy the clear blue sky....and the chilling weather.

Masjid Itaewon

I wouldn't have made myself perform the afternoon prayer, had I not decided to stop by at Itaewon Masjid. It's over 5 pm and...

I arrived at the Masjid and found myself being alone inside. The first time ever...I could take the picture without anyone in it.

what a serene atmosphere.

The mimbar where the Imam gives his sermons...kutbah...at least on Fridays...the time I go to the Masjid. Since I had no one to distract me from....easily I could just approach the mimbar and took a picture of its surrounding. 

even...the intricate design and pattern on the walls were visibly cool to look at.

and...the stacks of colorful Al Quran in one of several shelves.

Yes...it was almost dusk...it gave me ample time to enjoy the sunrise before Magrib praying-time.

Meetings @ Daejeon

First, lunch. Then..over lunch..we had some briefings on our group's assignments.

We're a just a small family within a huge family of PERPIKA (Indonesian Students Association in South Korea)...

Oh, I didn't know this before. My friends told me that it's the downtown area of Daejon. 

well...not bad for a huge LED canopy that may look cool at night. 

2차, we moved to a nearby cafe to continue our talks. Again..chocolate and snacks were on the table...which more often than not..indeed distracted the discussion.^^ㅋㅋㅋ 

It's getting late..and we got to go back home...to Seoul, Busan...etc. 

But, first...we needed to drop by at the nearest Masjid operated by IMNIDA. 

Meeting up with friends at Daejon Masjid. 

Eid Al Adha in Seoul Masjid

It's Saturday, Oct. 4, 2013. The Eid Al Adha celebration in Seoul. Luckily this Day fell on Saturday so lots of people could go to the Masjid. Off from work or school. No need to get permission from their sajangnim or their professors for those who may need to skip class, had it been on a weekday. ^^ 

So, how's Itaewon going on during that day? 

It so happened that on that very same day Itaewon was having a global fiesta. Lots of flags were put on the strings and hover them over the streets. 

Sure..though they had nothing to do whatsoever with Eid Al Adha....the festivities were there, for sure. Or at least in the eyes of the beholder, like me. 

Ok..back to the Masjid. Whoa...!! 

Just couldn't believe it. Lots of people just thronged into the Masjid. 

We just finished having our prayer..and Alhamdulillah. 

Now..it's time for meeting other friends who also brought along their families. 

Time to take some pictures for the sake of making a memorable moment, right?  

now..with me in it. 

On our way home, we stopped over at the Foreign Mart where we bumped into other friends as well.
