Freya's Choice

Yup....these are what she chose out of the so many pairs and colors.

She loves them....that's what counts.

Met Chuseok, ya. . . Frey.

Hospitalized for 4 Days!!!

Finally....I was at the lowest circle of my health. I couldn't bear it any longer. I was....in the end...Hospitalized.

Three doctors diagnosed....... .......and I got to be in the hospital. I had no.choices. I was 48kg! I lost 4 kg in a week!!! 

Now that I am HEALTHY^^ and retelling about it....I feel how blessed I've been that I can go through those days.

BLOOD CULTURE, Uncountable times of BLOOD TESTS, ct scans of the whole body, injections,...

Anyway....let's just forget those.

서울의료원 was where I was hospitalized. Got a chance to snap those butterflies.....at the atrium of the hospital.

Yes....No matter how distressed and powerless I was....I got to make myself awake and realized what my surroundings were like.

Thank God...my daughters were so patient and attentively taking care of me...in their own ways.

Freya was reading me a book.she brought from school.^^ yes...it really cheered me up.

Being a vegetarian and....Hospitalized at the same time.....was no easy feat. Not to mention....that my tongue was not ready to taste any strong-flavored food....yet I got to eat. The hospital was kind enough to prepare vegetables for me.

Hmmm.....some recollections...

I just didn't want to remember the details....

More meals.....3 times a day.

Alhamdulilah.....now I am.healthy. I'm back. I regained my health. ..my energy...

And....after 2-week of being lost and gone....now I'm back to my blog retelling where I'd been for the last two weeks.

*Alhamdulillah....I'm fine and healthy now.

Freya's Birthday (Again), but ...

Yes....but...this time...the celebration is with their Eonni, Subin Eonni. 

Subin eonni had made a promise to her that she would come today and brought her an ice cream cake! So, here they were....celebrating Freya's 7th birthday again..^^ 

Just by looking at her looks, I could see that Freya did enjoy (another) round of birthday. Well,  oh well....you must've been lucky to have lots of people...doing it for you, Freya.

What would a cake (though it's actually ice cream)...be without candles to blow? 

So...My Mother is An Alien + Blueberry + Chocolate Fuzz + Vanilla + Tiramisu flavored icecream were mixed neatly into a cake.

What a treat.

Freya and Eyra's eonni promised to take them to cat's cafe @ Myeongdong. ^:^

@ Mirota Batik (Handicraft Store)

Freya and Eyra were busy selecting key chains and other knick-knacks...brick a brack. I got a feeling that they're lost into a maze of confusion of what to choose from thousands of key chains in front of their eyes.  

Me myself..I was also amused and somewhat entertained. So many things to choose from. Wooden handicrafts to silverware to...well....gold..and silk...and...you name it...you got it. 

Mirota Batik is the must-visit place in Jogja for anyone wishes to buy souvenirs from Jogjakarta. 

One of the highlights that I think cracked me up was THIS. 

Got no idea who put this colorful wooden puppet on this toy-car. What made it strikingly eye-catching was nothing more than its contrasting color. 

Then..to my surprise...I found a statue of Jokowi (the present Jakarta's governor) at the store. Couldn't believe my eyes. How could his statue be arranged right next to the statue of the first president of Indonesia, Mr. Soekarno. ^^??* I found out later ...that Jokowi statues were removed from the store. hmmm.....suspiciously interesting. 

Mirota Batik consists of two-story building where we could immerse ourselves to appreciate Javanese culture as displayed through myriads of souvenirs and handicrafts.  

Now...let's go home. We did our shopping!!!

Camping Out In the House!!!

Kids. They're always cunningly sleek...in a good way, I guess. Today...I got no clues as to what they're about to do. They dragged along bed cover and bed sheets from the wardrobe..and then....the next thing I knew...I got to get myself involved in a camp-out in the house.  

They got the tent up and even used a rechargeable lamp so as to imbue a real camping experience. They never stop playing until... 

Freya was so tired that we called for a massage therapist to come over. Eyra finally got her first massage in Kediri.!!!

A full body massage for kids was also available. ...and then..we did not want to 'waste' the chance of letting Eyra have an experience. 

Ready for Autumn, gals?

Yeaaaaaa. It's 5 degree Celsius in the morning and we got to make sure that the kids wear proper outfit before doing any outdoor activities. 

Thanks to our friends right here in Korea. These two outfits are 'gifts' for the girls.

We've been blessed to have friends who share.

That's the beauty of it. In fact, a lot of the gals' winter outfits are presents, gifts, token of appreciation, or token of friendship..thanks to the power of sharing right here in Korea.

Another Visit from Students

Lina, Amel, and Rika. The first one's still in Korea for an exchange student. The remaining two just got back to Indonesia again..after taking a summer course in AKS in Korea. 

Well, girls..thanks for visiting me. 

As for Lina: she'll be extending her stay for another year or two. 

Eyra and Freya are getting more and more used to meeting the students.

After all, our apartment has become one of the must-visit venues, especially among students from my almamater--who happens to be in Seoul.
