Jalur Pulang Tiap Rabu Kamis

Youido Park...tempat lapang luas yang selalu kulewati setelah pulang menjalankan tugas^^. Hari Kamis ini....langit mendung dan seperti ramalan cuaca memang akan hujan. Namun tentu saja hal itu tak membendung kebiasaanku untuk mengabadikan momen yang ada di depan mataku.

Ada dua ekor burung yang tengah bercengkerama di bawah pohon yang tengah mulai betbunga di musim semi ini. Semua ini ditambah dengan latar sebuah gedung perkantoran yang menjulang tinggi.

Ya..

inilah salah satu sisi sudut kota Seoul yang tetap nampak asri di tengah modernitasnya.

The 4pm ceremony called the changing of palace guards. A daily program. We barely saw a thing..^^

One of the guardians of the palace....sitting on its throne at the entrance to the royal court. I simply loved the modern and traditional mixture of the palace surrounding.

Biking in Seoul

For 3 hours and more I was literally on my bike..pedaling like I never pedaled before^^

😆so tiring ..indeed..but when I reached Ttukseom resort...all of my fatigue just...simply vanished.

하도 너무 신나서 아픔과 피로를 못 느끼고 계속 움직이고 있었다.바로 뚝섬유원질를 봤기 때문이었다.

How could I feel tired when all I could see was the beauty of having reached this bike~paradise^^

푸르고 높은 하늘에다 시원한 바람을 맡아서 더 바랄 거

 없는 것처럼 저전거를 타면서 분위기를 간직하고 있었다.

Moreover. ..the river was so calm that..biking next to it was like humming a song in all its might.^^

Biking in Seoul...진짜 재미있었다.

Spring to ease our mind...

In the midst of all what's going on in the world (the thank-God easing tension between the North-South Korea) & (the hope-soon-to-end lockdown in Boston) and other world affairs that circulating around the world.....

Spring is sure coming.... 

I know...for some our of fellow world citizens in some parts of the world....life is hard on a day to day basis...but it does not mean that we need to stop admiring the natural beauty bestowed upon us, mankind on this earth... 

Just look around you and feel good about it, no matter what.

Just let all the feeling of tranquility set into our hearts...

as for us...looking at the blooming white flowers on top of the trees...

is one of the ways we succumb & surrender to the myriad beauties 

to'ease' and 'peace-ify' our mind....

Mama and her best friend, mbak Ulfa @ Kyunghee

It's true, so they say, that..to enjoy the spring of cherry blossoms at Imundong, one does not need to go as far as Youido or to other town since right at the back our backyard, there are trees adorned with cherry blossoms.^^ 

What I mean by backyard is no other than our beautifully cherry-laden Kyunghee University. Well, this is Mama who's been eager to go here just for the sake of capturing the image of herself with the cherry at the background, of course.^^ 

And this is Mama's best friend, mbak Ulfa--who likes going out, too, as I found out. 

What do you think, mbak Ulfa? this one is worth-going to?*

Lots of trees are adorned with these white angels dangling from atop.... 

Walking right through it seems like ascending into a heaven on its own.

The After Show Mayhem....^^

First: before the show. the nice girls taking picture after getting in line for their turn to take a pic with Lotty and Lorry. 

Now comes the after-show mayhem: hmmmm...I mean the mayhem in a positive sense; in the sense that all children seemed to be broke loose and started wandering and running around onto the stage to...well, try the musical instruments... 

Korean cultural performance was just over and as soon as the show was over..the children started to go onto the stage and....well, started to beat the drums..... 

Running into the arrayed drums like the ones above.  

I think it would be a marvelous idea to take one of these back home. * dream on.!! 

They were fascinated by the sounds of the drums as they beat them. And they kept on doing it over and over again.... 

The performing stage at Lotte World is huge enough to accommodate thousands of spectators to the show. Seen from this angle, it looks small, though.

Cherry Blossoms again......this year!!!

Last year we went to Youido Cherry lane @ Youido, of course. This year we went to Jamsil Cherry lanes, or more precisely we had a chance to see the blossoming sakura at the lake near Lotte World at Songpa-gu.

I guess we did not see the cherry, instead we saw people! 벚꽃구경아니고 사람구경!!

well what could we do, we just came at the very same time when the throng of crowd came into the area. But, still we did enjoy our time there. We would not gone there had there been less people. ^-^ 

The lake itself was not that big, but it was big enough to accommodate the needs of Seoulites who more than often need to relax their eyes and mind in the midst of this bustling city. 

Once again..I did not let myself get caught in the way, so I pretty much walked and kept on walking on the side of the lake so as to being able to enjoy the sakura and the people staring & admiring at them. 

One of the most-sought-after spot where people took pictures. Well, not really...but at least this is how it looked like.

"But, Daddy..I wanna go to Lotte World....!!!" 

Since she's been there twice, she knows what Lotte World offers to kids like her. She vividly remembers what the amusement park is like...and that's what prompted her to keep nagging at me....to take her into the Lotte World. 

Well, for the meantime ..why don't you just take a picture with Lotty and Lorry, first.^^

the fact that Lotte World offers this free photo session for the onlookers and passers by...really amused the kids. Well, at least for that day...they met Lorry and Lotty. 

벚꽃? 어디?

벚꽃? 무슨 벚꽃이야? 벌써 4월 13일인데 아직까지 주변에 벚꽃이 없다는 걸 보니 좀 이상하다고 생각해. 물론 남쪽엔 벚꽃죽체까지 열렸는데 복쪽에 있는 도시들은 언제까지 더 기다려야 할지 모르겠다. 싱송생송(?)같은 급한 마음이 생긴 애들이 여의도나 롯데월드에 가자고 했지만...볼 것이 없다면 거기까지 와 버렸으면 ...어떻게 하죠?
참...날씨도 아직 추운데다가 바람도 많이 불렀고...
밖으로 가는게 좋지만 ...돈도 들 지도 모르니까...그냥 방꼭만 있는데 더 낫지 않을까 싶다. 티비나 책을 보고 숙제 (오마이것)까지 하는게 더욱 흥미롭고 가치가 있는 시간이 아닌가 싶다.
오늘 토요일 4월 13일인데 햇빛이 쨍쨍 밝히게 ...
