The Oscar-Worthy Movies ...Worth-Watching?

Definitely saw it: three times. (dramatically hooked and zapped into it). 

Hmm..the black & white movie I don't think I'll e'er watch--not that I don't want to...well, the question is....how and where to watch it....:_ )ㅋㅋㅋ

Yep. Hauntingly absorbed me into some flashes of bitterly dark history* of the humankind....(hmm..history, eh?) look around us or in other parts of the world. 

Was it a sin to say that  I was entertained by this vulgarly-exposed pursuit of pleasure (when we can have them all??)^-^

My daughters' Recently Adored Figurines: Blue and Jewel

Bluesky Studio's Rio--an animated film--has recently captivated my kids' attention. It has been months after they saw it for the first time; but still they still have great affection for the two leading characters portrayed in the movie: Blue, a supposedly endangered blue Macaw of Brazil and his friend, Jewel.

Well, I think they have watched the movies too much that they even impersonated (?)how they talked and flew (this is something that made me concern a bit). But, 'tis a good thing that they know that people just cannot fly.
So, we went to a cinema to watch Kungfu Panda 2. After spending almost an hour and a half in the theater, we were walking up to the exit door passing through the popcorn and beverages kiosk when my daughters' attention was somewhat distracted the strikingly featured bottles of beverages being sold there. It would not have surely caught my kids' eyes, had they been nothing special on top of it. It turned out that the figurines of Blue and Jewel as well as other characters in the movie are all available for sale.They were perched on top of the lid of each jar.
It was so skadoooshly expensive for a jar of beverage, since it cost Rp 50,000 (US5.5) each. Well, I could not have just bought one since the other would be envy of it. So, two we bought.:). There goes Rp 100,000. Even the movie ticket for four were not that expensive. ... :)
Anyhow....the kids loved it, for sure.

So much for Harry Potter part 2!!!

I was disappointed because I could not watch HP2 for the second time although I had bought the ticket already. !!!
Well, so much for the waiting.
So much for the money I spent on it.
So much for the time I spent expecting for it.
So much for the energy I spent on wasting on it.
So much for such an expectation...
I never thought that all of a sudden the tickets I reserved ........were in vain.
I did not use them.
Something came up..I got to attend a meeting.
My wife simply could not go since she got to take care of the kids.
Meanwhile my sister could not make it since she got to pick our mother from the hospital.
There goes the ticket.
There goes the money.
There goes the time.
But.....at least I could contemplate on it.
I will make sure that it won't happen no more.

Movies My Kids Love

Some say that like father like daughter :) well, to some extent, it is true in the way that my kids love movies as much as I do. Of course the movie that they love are the ones with children-theme on theme. I think both of my daughters love the ways movie magics work. To some extent, I kinda like it since it is one of the ways my children learn English through these movies. They even imitate and use the phrases they see being used in those movies. Here are some of the movies they love. Most of them are Disney's.

Pocoyo, Bolt, Finding Nemo, Toy Story, Cars and lately they also like Lion King, Mulan, Brother Bear, and most of all....the latest Rio!!! Even they memorize some scenes and make the drama out of them...
