Wow...great to see it on the net haha....been a few months since the last time I went back home in East Java.

And..then..my favorite homestay in campus..Jogjakarta.

Oh...this winter...I miss the warmth of the tropics^^

Razqa and Eyra @Prambanan Temple, Yogyakarta

It's a late post about Eyra's September visit to Jogjakarta. 

She had a chance to visit one of the Hindu Temples in Jogjakarta. It's Prambanan Temple.

Along with her cousin, Razqa, she enjoyed learning our cultural and historical heritage.

I was busy at the seminar when my brother-in-law (Razqa's Daddy) took Eyra and his son for a day trip.

And. . .it turned out that he took the kids to the temple^^ ok. Thank u for having the kids entertained.^^

Lots of memories....in this very street back then when I was still.a student.

Hmm....can't wait to be there again...

Bakso Cak Man @Jogja City Mall

Bakso.for me? Hmm...not really. I can't eat meatball...but I'm all for the noodle.

Eyra loooveeeed it. Teh Botol Sosro....complemented this particular  delicacies.

Since it's Jogja, even the tiniest bit of interior should be.... Jogja-ish.^*^

Alun-Alun Jogja @ Night

We're going to Jogjakarta City Square to see the hype.... 

what hype? well, it's the light-decorated-cars. 

not..not these ones. These are art installation scattered across this culture-city. 

This! 

We can rent this kind of 'car' that we pedal by ourselves to get round the square...for fun, of course. 

We're having fun with these cars!!! 

Jogja has never been the same with these...^^ for the better, I am sure. 

With 10,000 or 1,000 Won or not even 1US$, we can borrow this for one-ride.  

tak pernah kubayangkan sebelumnya bahwa pergi ke alun-alun akan seasyik ini.

Sampai Jogjakarta

Sekitar jam 4 sore sampailah aku di Jogjakarta lewat stasiun Tugu yang ternyata full.

Akhinya..kugeret luggageku sampai jalan Mangkubumi untuk mencari Taksi...yang.... 

sudah kutunggu lama pun nggak nongol-nongol karena Jogja lagi ada acara Bersih Code katanya.

Jadi semua jalanan macet..belum lagi..ada pawai para remaja berskate boarding ria di sepanjang jalan. 

phew..akhirnya sampai Hyatt juga setelah berjuang naik OJEK!!!

Now..It's Time to Go Back to Seoul, but First...

I need to pay a visit to the very home we left in Jogjakarta.

Yes..I've lived in this home for ..let's see...6 years..before we left for Seoul.

Yes..we left it empty...in Seoul....The color of the front facade..is fading..and we got to make sure that the house is intact... 

The cable satellite dish was still there. The mango tree at the side of the house is still giving its great contribution to give the house some shadiness....and..yes...we've got to make sure that everything's fine.

Our neighbors have been on the watch for our home in Jogjakarta. 

Al Jihad...the very Masjid where we had our wedding vow. The very Masjid...where we had our daily prayers...the very Masjid where ..some of our daily activities were based on...back in Jogjakarta. 

I took some pictures while passing by the Masjid on my way to the airport.!!! 

On our way to the airport. Yes..Tante Yuni, Razqa...and Om Didik saw me off to the airport... 

Oh..did I mention that actually I should've left Jogja one day earlier..but due to the my negligence..of not paying any attention to the departure date...^^ I missed my flight...ㅋㅋㅋ

Anyway..as in the picture..I was on my way to the airport.....

Hotel Tentrem @ Jogjakarta

Late post about my last year's travel to Jogjakarta where I stayed at Hotel Tentrem.

Gee..what a comfy hotel indeed it was. I loved it so much. 

I was pampered by all the beyond good amenities provided by the hotel. 

Next time I traveled back home...^^ I'd like to stay a night or two..again at this hotel. 

The Javanese-style hospitality really sums up what this hotel is all about. 

oh, waking up to the Merapi volcano...was really a soothing experience.^^ funny, eh? 

And the ambiance that I felt during my 3-night stay @ Hotel Tentrem...was incomparable. 

And..the arrays of food that I loved..OMG. 

Of course, I savored the traditional delicacies ...that I could not help ....

couldn't resist them all.
