Biking in Seoul

For 3 hours and more I was literally on my bike..pedaling like I never pedaled before^^

😆so tiring ..indeed..but when I reached Ttukseom resort...all of my fatigue just...simply vanished.

하도 너무 신나서 아픔과 피로를 못 느끼고 계속 움직이고 있었다.바로 뚝섬유원질를 봤기 때문이었다.

How could I feel tired when all I could see was the beauty of having reached this bike~paradise^^

푸르고 높은 하늘에다 시원한 바람을 맡아서 더 바랄 거

 없는 것처럼 저전거를 타면서 분위기를 간직하고 있었다.

Moreover. ..the river was so calm that..biking next to it was like humming a song in all its might.^^

Biking in Seoul...진짜 재미있었다.

Cycling around the Neighborhood (Again)

"Oh, right behind those trees over there is our home"

Yes, this is another perspective of looking at our own home where we live in. 

Today, after going back home from class, I took my bike on a self-portrait tour around the neighborhood. Well, actually...I was going back home only to realize that I DID NOT bring home-keys...^^, so instead of waiting for the kids to come back..I just took my bike and off I went to 'spend an afternoon' on my own with my bike. 

It's about 4 pm and no one was seen around the bike-lane along the creek that runs next to it. 

"Peace", oh, I just loved being on my bike..." 

Simply looking at this picture makes me think if I am really living in a big city like Seoul. Well, I am. But, the best part is that I could just go around the park, the creek, and spend the whole day..enjoying this outdoor activities...of course..if I DO NOT have any paper to do.^^

Like today. (gee) of, course I do have some paper to finish, but..it was my post-midterm week, so..I could just concentrate on my own 'term of fulfillment' 

Parked by bike on a small bridge over the creek and the bike let me take a pic of his... 

Oh, there's a crane..I mean...a bird...that's kinda big...considering the fact that we're at the apartment-filled complex.  

Then, off I kept on cycling until I found an outdoor gym...typical of any parks across Seoul, at least. The green trees which made it even more tempting ...got me an idea that I'd better 'immortalize' this moment. 

Again, my beloved red-bike. 

In case, you may wonder what it looked like right in front of the outdoor gym... 

Then, off again we went home...^^ 

Eyra's new Bike

As her birthday present...we bought her a new bike that she'd been wanting. That means..her old bike is now her little sister's. She chose her own color--unquestionably ...pink.  

Since I didn't have enough time to choose from so many collections available, I just asked her to get the one she'd laid her eyes on..and she just did. 

After an-hour or so...adjusting and fixing some non-functioning gears...., the bike was ready be used. 

She's so excited, for sure.

Paris Baguette That Sells Bikes?

On the bus on my way home I couldn't resist myself from not taking the picture of this 'what-the-heck' shop.^^

I mean..all Koreans must surely know what "Paris Baguette' is. 

It's a bakery shop/cafe that specially sells ..well..of course cakes and pastry and cookies and tarts and any edible stuff.

But..the particular Paris Baguette that I saw...SELLS bikes.

Yes..because it is NOT actually Paris Baguette, since it was transformed into a 삼천리자전거 (samcholli jajeongo '3000 li bicycle).

Of course I know that the shop was previously occupied by Paris Baguette shop, and yet...despite the fact that the new owner of this bicycle shop knew it all along, he -- I bet-- did not bother himself to take off the orange canopy with "Paris Baguette" inscription on it. 

That's what makes it 'intriguingly' interesting for anyone who knows the 'what's that-what's this' in Korea.

*li = a distance measurement originated in Korea, I am not quite sure the equivalence of 1 li in meter or mile. Anyway...3,000 li is a far distance, I suppose.
