Staying @ a Pension

Gee..it's been more than a month since we stayed at his pension. Even..I forgot the name of this pension we stayed at during our autumn trip.

There were 8 of us!

So..a pension is surely a logical and cheapest way to accommodate a trip like this.

Not to mention the kitchen that we could use to cook! 

Tante Yuni was so intrigued by the simplicity of the kitchen that she wanted me to take a picture of her in front of the kitchen set before we ruined them.^^

Yes..it's clean and simple...coz we hadn't used them, yet.^^ 

The kids seemed to forget that they'd been playing all day long. They kept on playing once they got into the pension. 

And..indeed...it's different from our daily normal life. 

Yes...as good as it seems to be...there's no way that I want to have THESE and THOSE in our daily life. It's enough for one night...to sort of 'escape' from the daily dose of normalcy. but..this? 

They all look warm, okay. but...hmm...too crowded. But..did we enjoy it? yes..since it's only for one night only:) 

The kids snuggled into a temporary bed right in front of the TV. *sigh*

walked out of the pension to take a night view of the neighborhood. 

A cool autumn night. Oh, there's a telephone booth in front of our pension. 

back into the house...and a selfie with Eyra..before going to bed.

once we were laying down..and eyes facing up the ceiling...I could not help but noticing the lamps!

Oops..sorry...No Real Flowers..and To Compensate...

Oh there are some pictures left that I haven't posted yet.

We visited Garden of the Morning Calm on April 4, 2014..with some high expectation of enjoying fully-bloomed flowers.  

But..sadly...no. The garden was half empty at that time.:)

and we found these.....!!! 

We had to use our imagination as to what kind of flowers these plants would be when they're fully grown.^^ 

What a great way to entice onlookers, right? 

I know..I should've researched upon the garden prior to visiting.

I was like feeling ripped-off. But, of course..that's not true.

I just wished that the ticket could've been 50% off during which, though.^-^

Leaving the Garden of Morning Calm (part 14)

Now it's about 3.30 pm and we got to be back to town. 

We're passing through the field and lawn and garden and park 

we went to earlier that day. 

A cool view and worth-visiting place--I suggest. 

Especially this week, when the foliage, autumn leaves turn into colors. 

Even, the week we went there was enough to make us 'tilt' 

so, the idea of going back there in the peak of autumn.... 

well, that's nice. 

there's a chapel inside the garden, too. 

Now...let's take a break.... 

and play something... 

or eat something to recharge our energy... 

before going back to Seoul by ITX.

This time: we got our seat arrangements--which meant that we'd be able to take a rest during 30-minute ride back to Seoul.

Giant Yutnori @ Garden of Morning Calm (part 13)

Now, they've finally something they set their eyes on. 

We went into a traditional house (한옥) where on its front yard laid big yutnori (board-game-like). 

The dices were so big that they found it hard to hold. 

well, that added more fun to the game. 

They used all their might to throw the dices. 

With the line up of scarecrows as the backdrop of the 한옥 (hanok), with the blue sky above us... 

letting them play with this traditional board-game (yutnori) was like a relief in itself. 

Well, after all, this is one of the things we sought for. 

Korean Garden @ Morning Calm (part 12)

Finally, we reached the farthest section of the garden: Korean garden. 

Pond dominates the garden with its pavilion in the center under which fish sort of decorating its existence. 

Lotus and other plants are visible enough for viewers to see through the water. 

Well, it's man-made, of course. What else.

But... 

even so, it's still attracting viewers to flock into this place, right? 

If only we'd been patient enough to wait another week before going here, we would've been able to see more colorful rendition of autumn. 

oh, well... 

this time of the day would've been more than enough to show us 

what autumn might look like during the peak season. 

As the saying goes, you'll never know when you'll be able to see what you want until you made up your mind to go see it. 

so, we did.

In fact, the not-that-autumn-Korean pond as the brochure suggested was more than enough to satisfy our eyes' hunger for autumn foliage. 

As for the kids, they're happy enough to play around the garden. 

Even when it's not in their best interest.

Until..of course..they saw much more interesting things that might capture their heart.
