Goyang Flower Festival 2015 Ep. 14: The Special Package

We purchased the package from Timon online shopping where we could get a discounted price fo both the flower festival and Aquarium in Ilsan.
Of course. ..it's relatively cheaper.
We got to go to the Timon counter to show that we paid it online in order to receive the tickets.
then...let's go explore!
It's about 2 pm and...boy it's windy...and a bit hot. Bearable, though.
... .... ...
Bug-eyed Freya....
It surely ticked us to see what's in store for us in this year's exbexhibition!
The tank (the real one) and DMZ to denote this year's theme: flower and peace.
DMZ clad in flowers.

Goyang Flower Festival 2015 Ep. 13: Rare Plants

As we entered the main hall of world's planyplants exhibition, these pretty trees welcome all visitors.
We were like thrown into some twists of what we're about to encounter.
and...yep...rainbow roses!!!
Gosh....subhanallah...
Then...monkey flower ^~^
Even we could see two rare plants from Indonesia: the literally "walking tree" and rainbow tree or rainbow eucalyptus.
oh...the kids also could observe seeds or insects living in/on the trees.
Encountering the utterly gee...cactus!
Hmm...Not really fond of this strange-looking cactus. But...boy...it sure looks so fluffy.
....what about light-infused flowers???
They changed colors!
Sure they looked pretty.
....but worth-buying...it all depends on what to make of them.

Goyang Flower Festival 2015 Ep. 11: World pavilions

It's just a small portion of so many other countries participating....

Goyang Flower Festival 2015 Ep. 9: German Pavilion

The simple design of horticultural show from German couldn't have been better.
It does show the Germany in its own sense.
The backdrop is simply a statement what Germany would look like in the image of the onlookers.
We couldn't have been happier as well.
Hmm....you liked it, right?

Goyang Flower Festival 2015 Ep. 8: Business Room

yup...it's called a business room in one corner of the world pavilion.
We're so intrigued by its colorful design....that we had to be IN it.
Freya...you go first, dear.
Then...along came Eyra and her Mom.
And...me...me...me, too.
Usually I'm not really into ....being the objects of the camera. ..but...not with this.^^
♡♡♡oh...simply adored it.

Goyang International Flower Festival (Finale)

Before we went home, we took some more group pictures since we knew that it would be a long way for us to think and consider coming back here again unless....there is another better or greater exhibition.^^
The whole group. Om Wawan and his wife, me and my family.
May 4, 2013. Goyang City.
This one, a vertical-shaped size pic.
One more pic. of tulip fields which somewhat became the pseudo-symbol of national flower here.^^ of course, I am just kidding...but judging from the mere fact that similar tulip festivals being held simultaneously across the peninsula....has somewhat given me a vague idea as to whether it is time to call tulip as one of Korea's national flower.^^
On our way back home on subway. Look how deserted the subway was. Well..we were taking the wrong subway....and that's the reason as to why it was deserted. oh well..it's a looooooooooooooooooooooooooong story.

Goyang International Flower Festival (Part 9): Inside the Pavilion

It was a bit warm and bright outside that we needed to soothe ourselves with the cooling breeze of indoor pavilion. Like many other exhibitions, we were ushered into the supposedly attractive-looking displays of flowers and flowers...even those in neon bulbs.
The pavilion was sure huge enough to accommodate hundreds of contestants both domestic and international ones.
Flower-airium (aquarium^-^) I mean...it was such a cool way to dazzle the first-timers.
Oh, they have a term for it: ecopot!!!!!   e-copot!^^
Had I taken the picture with a better digital camera, I would've been able to capture the flickering effect emitting from the posted artificial flowers.
Eyra was trying to wake up the chirping birds nested on the perch of (another) artificial flower and tree.^^
Ecuador, India,....and other participatory countries showed off their best of agricultural ..er..I mean...flora diversities to the visitors.
Not a good angle to take the picture...but at least I got a glimpse of what ASEAN-KOREA CENTER had to offer to its visitors.
Each ASEAN member country showed off her characteristic flower in an educational booth that occupied a large amount of space inside the pavilion.
