Seoul Fireworks Festival 2013: Part 7 - THE EXODUS

No, the festival was not over yet. But, we decided to go home early otherwise we would be stuck in the traffic and the herds of people... 

 

Even when we were moving out of the venue, some more spectacles to behold were on display. 

TEmpteD? Nope. Look at the gleefully stunned spectators....

thousands or..wait.. just above a million of people was reported to be there. 

Let's take a moment to 'immortalize' the night.^^ 

Cheering crowds.....

Eyra, Freya and their Mom. "Freya, are you tired, dear?" I guess so.

I thought that not many people would show up when it was 30-minute away from being over. But, I was wrong....completely. People had the same idea: going back home earlier...so....

we're also stuck in the throng of people...moving about on the streets.. 

Finally, we reached a rather walk-able road leading to subway station... 

But....the situation was relatively the same everywhere. 

This is the EXODUS of people ..leaving the Youido island. 

We're like...gosh...how could we beat the exodus?

but, hey..we managed to get out of there, though. 

so, for the time being...bye-bye Fireworks...till next year.:-) insyaallah.

Seoul Fireworks Festival 2013: Part 2 - The Show Began

It's 7.30 pm and the crowds were about to be blown away by the show....

well...at least me, then.

Right next to Han River, people were sitting on the mats they prepared for the sake of the watching the spectacle. In fact kimbab seemed to be their diner that evening.

It's a kind of kimbab+fireworks watch picnic. 

First....oops..did I do something with my camera? 

Okay, that's more like it. 

Getting bigger... 

and turned into red sparks....and the swoosh of clouds oozed out of the sparks... 

with the background music along with it, the fireworks festival was not an ordinary spectacle.  

more colorful fireworks are burst into the sky... 

yellow.... 

what? where's the fireworks? 

people turned on their smartphone and got glued onto their tiny screen instead of looking at the real fireworks.

Seoul Fireworks Festival 2013: Part 1 - The Struggle

 

The Struggle in order to get out 'alive' from the subway station.

Yes...thousands of people packed into subway, especially line 5, and this was what it was like at around 6 pm when we arrived at Youinaru station. 

Just couldn't be happier. oh really?

well, what could we do? Nothing, right? Everyone's trapped in the same situation.

so..why not think positive?

My wife said "cheese" or "peace"? well...either way... 

As for me....hm...a tired face....even before the festival started.

just look at the people ...or the crowd.....or the swoosh of people....or..mass ....or crowds...or....herds....:) hahahaah...yes....we're like....anchovies.....^^

but..I was glad to know that a lot of them seemed to enjoy the experience. 

Even when we got out of the subway station...we had to fight our way...to get nearer to Hangang River..to get a closer and better look at the fireworks. 

Yeeaaaa......it began......
