Cloud Cafe: The View from Above (part 2)

The restaurant facing the Han River. Spent an-hour here..while enjoying the summer bliss: patpingsu. Okay..let me get it straight: the view is indelibly pretty. Well..Han River could be mistakenly regarded as any other river, but in fact it is different. 

This is the soul of life as most of the water that feed the life of Seoulites come from within this river. So..admiring the river from above like this was like..wow..how admiringly amazing this river is. No..I am not exaggerating it. 

If you happened to be in Seoul, just go here. See it for yourself. I wish the weather would be cooler so I could see a clearer view of the Namsan Seoul Tower far beyond. It's there but obscurely unnoticeable due to the bright afternoon sunlight. 

Yet..it did not mean that I could not enjoy another view: It's the ferry and the yacht docks that is just a perfect hang-out place if you have the 'money' to rent or better yet..own it.

I was on a yacht tour in Busan last year..so..seeing this yacht brought back the old good time memories. 

I particularly love this picture. The lanes where people go on biking and walking were the perfect ambiance and addition to the already contrasting scenery of Seoul: lush green bushes and the sprung up apartment.

(thought I got to admit that I used ' a special' mode of taking the picture. Still..this movie is worth-looking at if you want to know something about Seoul..in its glory.

Dynamic Busan (part 26): Yacht B

The first notion that we would surely see is the breathtaking view of how jammed packed the Marine City is.

We could see how vividly striking the contrast between the coastline and the sky-scrappers that dot its visage.

As we were going further away from the bridge, so was the skyline. We were then oozed into the calm water of Busan sea. Now..what's the next program on board?

Yes, fishing^^. It was such an exhilarating experience having to get ourselves exposed to the open sea while fishing. The fishing rods were available on every corner and fences of the yacht. We could just pick one that we liked and started enjoying the breeze of the sea.

Bahar and Matthew were seen waiting their baits got 'eaten'. After  a while, though, they did not catch the big fish but the small ones. After all, it was fun.

The sky was not that clear that day..but boy..it was hot. Thankfully, the scenery as well as the activities being offered on board were the ones that helped us ease ourselves in enjoying this extraordinary trip on Busan Yacht.

The sail was rolled down while we were fishing. The yacht just stopped right in the middle of the sea so as to give us a sense of what it felt like being calmly tucked by the sea.^^

Sure..I would not miss the chance of fishing on the open sea--though it was not that far from the coastline^^

Did I catch anything? You bet I did not^^

But I did get the fun, though.

Jamaito, my friend from East Timor, was the one who never ceased having the utmost joy of this life. He was such a hilarious friend indeed. In fact, he was the epitome of fun on the go.^^

Another look at how calm and serene the fishing activity went on. See the light handrail? It looked like there were not fences or whatsoever..but sure there were some.^^ Otherwise, we'd rather stay put. ^^

OK, guys! Fishing time's UP. Now we got to the next activity: barbecue time. 

With some glasses hall-full with wine or coke or juice; ample arrays of breads and snacks..and of course ...grilled meat. The barbecue-like party started at about 2 pm. What a day.^^

We'd never get enough of it. What I liked most was the fresh fruits being served on each table. 

I kinda dug out of them....^^.

Wait...was it over?

Yes....it was time to go.

I would surely cherish the time we'd spent on board the yacht B. Bexco-Busan-Blue Yacht we had in Busan.

Thank you for Korea Brand Communicator, Busan City Mayor, Busan Tourism, and everyone in this program who had made my experience in Busan...complete.

Gosh...this has been by far..the best^^ of all.

Dynamic Busan : part 24: Yacht Experience

The most exciting and mind-blowing activity in Busan was about to start. We just did not expect to have this thrilling sensation. What was it actually?

No other than YACHTING on Busan's spectacular beach.

We were walking towards the white yacht over there. There? see? The Gwangan bridge was standing majestically at the background....Can't wait to get on board the yacht.

GEtting NEARER and nearer.....^^. It was so hot that day..but the heat did not dampen our spirit of trying our maiden voyage on board the yacht....well, it was simply irresistible.

As I was walking down the barge towards the yacht, I took my time enjoying the bridge from afar. Will I go under it while cruising on a yacht? 'That'll be so cool'

The name of the yacth is YACHT B. B stands for BEXCO. (please refer to my previous blogs on BEXCO). It could also stand for Busan and Blue^^

This is under one company that operates the largest expo and convention center in Busan or in Korea.

Now...we were ready to embark on this journey. One by one got on board the yacht for the first time. Dazzled.

Just as I imagined, well..of course from the pictures, movies, and any other media that I've seen, the interior of the yacht was like what I pictured of. Well...to some extent...it was like it,though of course..in reality it was way too cool.

Being the unique convention space combining yachting and convention, this specially designed Yacht is indeed a must-see and a must-have experience for everyone to see Busan.^^

All of the amenities and entertainment were just all-in-inclusive of the package.

This is the interior of the yacht before we started digging into the party.^^ So, while it was still intact, I might as well sit and take the moment for myself. 

Briefing time. We were somewhat lullaby-ed by the breezing air of the Busan beach. Wait....^^ it was just the beginning of our memorable trip ever. 

OK..the fun part: we could act like the captain of the yacht. There were two hats specially served for the passengers to put on while on board....^^take a picture.^^

Oh..wait..we WERE approaching the bridge. Ready..get set...GO...for it.

I could not be more excited than this...^^ Going out and get exposed to the sun and see the breathtaking scenery ....^^That's what I would like to do..

BUsan Fam Trip (part 1)

This must be one of the most memorable trips EVER. Now that I've come to Busan, I felt like something in me has left its traces back there in Busan. I miss Busan already. 

Ok...to start with, I came to Busan with other 29 friends of mine--comprising of  15 foreign students and 15 Korean students. Thanks to Korea Brand Communicator and the Busan Metropolitan Mayor through its governmental officers who have invited all of us there.

After about two and a half hour ride by KTX from Seoul to Busan, we were greeted by one of them...Matthew Stanley Ambrosia, an American who --from what I learned-- has been a devout resident of Busan. He is our so-called Busan ambassador who welcome us on board the bus that said on its sign: ONLY BUSAN FAM TOUR. Ok, here we go. 

The first entry of this blog would be the first highlights of the seemingly endless fun in Busan.

Like I said earlier, this first entry of my trip to Busan will just highlight some of the best places that I've been to during the 2 night-3 day trip to Busan. Well, I had actually expected that this would be so refreshingly entertaining trip--since I know Busan as the sea-side city that I've been desperately wanting to see. And here I was. 

from July 2-4, 2012....I got one of the irresistible moments in my experiences of adventuring in Korea. 

Now...this is also one of the best highlights that I got to share and jot down on this blog^^ I felt like I came to a futuristic city at a seaside at night--where the lights dotted the high-rises apartments and buildings. I guess it was near the Nurimaru Apec house where we could see the magnificent night-view of Hanwa Resort, Trump Tower and other famous landmarks in the realm of high-rise luxurious apartment complex in Busan. 

This one: I would never change this experience for anything^^.

Well, the truth: I felt like I was experiencing a kind of dejavu. Not that I've been here before. But, as weird as it may seem, I felt like I was re-visiting Sidney harbor and taking a trip on a cruise and going underneath the famous Harbor Bridge. But, I was not imagining. ^^

In fact, this simply asserts the fact that Busan is the Sydney of Korea. (well, some may not agree with me, that's okay^^). 

I think....going on a yacht and passing underneath the famous Gwangan Bridge or Diamond Bridge in Busan....was simply wonderful. 

Awesome. 

There must be some reasons as to why I put some of the photos of me on board the Yacht at Busan. Yes, this is me on board the YACHT tour. The yacht B--that's what it is called^^ 

This is the FIRST yacht experience EVER. AND it was the best tour that Busan has given us. The best of the best.^^ 

Breathtaking view like Diamond Bridge is the simple reason as to why people need to experience Busan via this yacht. Busan must be so proud of having this esteemed and renowned bridge to share with the world. I think this has somewhat become one of the major landmarks of this bustling port city.

and...what is this? Water? Alcohol? Juice? It's just simply water. We were at WATER BAR. the only water bar ever. I never thought that such a unique idea as simple as providing water from all over the globe indeed does work. Inside the Shinsagae Department Store in Busan, there is this what is best known as Water Bar. 

We were soooo lucky to be able to experience and dip into each taste of the water. 

Thanks for the opportunity given...otherwise we would have never known it.

Who does not know the Cannes of Asia? What? Yes, this is pretty much what BIFF or Busan International Film Festival is...(or back then it was widely knowns as PIFF or Pusan International Film Festival).

This is the very gate that promulgates the 'maiden' voyage of BIFF up to now. This place is located in the famous PIFF square at Nampodong.

It is one of the must-visit place should we want to experience Hollywood wall-of-fame kind of place.

Worth-going indeed.
