Pony Ride@ Children Grand Park

I told the kids not to ride on any camel or pony or any attractions since they did it, once. But then..oh, well... 

They insisted on riding just one pony this time. No camels. But still, one short ride that lasted about 2 minutes cost 3,500 Won for each kid.  

But then....seeing Freya's priceless smile and happiness on her face....

all of my grunts simply gone.! 

She seemed to be so happy having this experience. 

"Freya, turn....and look at Daddy!" 

Then...wait..who's this? Oh, I guess it's Eyra...! 

She's too--her happy look on her face is so precious. 

It's nice of them to let parents take pictures of their children on the pony horse.

I hope the pony horse can get a decent life...because they work very hard to please the hearts of children. 

Autumn's Works of Art: Preoccupation with anything colorful

And definitely it's the kids' Mom's idea to do this.

She's crazy...about leaves, autumn foliage, and any kinds of trees either still hanging on the branches or the fallen ones. Didn't matter as long as they're colorful enough to touch and look at. Or better yet..collected.

or better yet....painstakingly collecting different gradation of colors so as to make a line of leaves like this one? 

Okay..I admit that it's good.

But one thing for sure..this might have something to do with our being tropical person.

We come from country where no autumn leaves would be found anywhere.

So...with the dawn of autumn season like this (no..it's almost over), we're (wait..I mean she IS) so preoccupied with it.

Going Back from School.....

and did not go straight home since the weather and the autumn foliage were too beautiful to miss. That's what she said and likewise...she was going around the neighborhood exploring what we could see.

The unused railway is right at the back of our apartment. 

And it's pretty safe to say ..I mean I say it's safe to play around there...

since there's no way that any train would come ..

*Eyra, are you jumping?* 

Then, off she went to the nearby park where fallen leaves were just left untouched--until some cleaning service did just that. *sigh*

I mean...it would've been just coll had they not cleaned them up, right?

oh, well....

The Changing Facades of Locations I used to Overlook

It's changing? well, sure...simply due to the autumn foliage. It used to be plain green during summer...but then..it all changed into this.

All leaves turned into flower-like spectacle.

In summer, I would not even wink at this parking lot, let alone staring at it since it was barely plain with cars parked on it, oh, well..'but then...autumn came along.

Then, off I went to the 국회의사당 (National Assembly) station 

from where I get in and off to go to work. 

During summer...who would want to stop and stare at those skyline? Well, some might do..and they did:-) (me, once)

But, then...autumn with its blue sky came along...and as usual, I couldn't suppress the urge of clicking my camera just for the sake of 'capturing' what I saw on my home.

A Giant Screen TV: Autumn Foliage

Yes, and this is what I mean by my giant screen TV. It's the window in my room.

Every morning it displays the feature of autumn morning with all its splendor. 

A colorfully radiant morning sun rays that penetrates into the autumn foliage is mesmerizing for my eyes to rest upon. 

It's just that it couldn't be any brighter and more dazzling than this simple routine of waking up to gaze this bright light right outside my window. 

Gee...I think I am too poetic...

International Food Festival (part 4); Newly Found Friends

Apart from tasting and savoring in new tastes of foods, I also had a chance to see new friends from around the globe.

These are my newly found friends from African countries in their colorful outfits. 

Then, at Asian Harmony booth, Cambodia, Thailand, Myanmar also shared their native food to the visitors. 

Fellow friends from Middle-Eastern countries had a chance to show off their best delicacies. 

These are fellow students from European countries.

Oh, once again..I was hooked in African booth. Well, they're friendly and more than that..they made I think 6 kinds of fried rice that I loved the most.

Yes, colorful fried rice...: BIG mistake: I didn't take the pic of the food.:-( 

Asian Harmony: Friends from Southeast Asian countries gathered in this booth to show off their best delicacies to the visitors. 

"Please..please..let me put this onto your plate. You got to try this."

Friends from Africa and South America offered me enthusiastically.

International Food Festival (part 3): The DECORATION

It would not have been a memorable event, had the committee not done such a great job of decorating the 7th floor Lincoln Hall at KDI School.

Colorful balloons were attached to the ceiling of the venue so as to give a sense of fiesta-like atmosphere to the already high-spirited food festival. 

Even, some students outrageously, yet cunningly named their booth like this one " Hell Kitchen". Oh,well..it's alright for people did flock and take a look at the booth.

Way to go, fellows. 

Or, some booths did make a great deal of preparation to give as complete information as possible to the visitors. Colorfully printed photos of food with their names are printed and shared on the board next to their booths.

A Contrasting Atmosphere. 

Or..some booths synergy-ized their financial and creative might and decided to make different regions into one laid-out banner attached at the back of the booths. 

Or what about hanging informative paper?

Yes, our friends from South America did rigorously prepare these information for any in-line or queuing visitors to see and read. 

This is it. I was glad to have attended the International Food Festival held at KDI School.

International Food Festival (part 2): The FOOD

African Food <Checked> you got it. Although I am a vegetarian, the festival was like heaven since I still could eat lots and lots and endless arrays of food from all over the world--literally. Some African food from several countries were specially prepared by students from the Africa Continent.

* I love the colors. In fact, I kinda enjoyed their rice. 

Being an Asian, I love trying out other Asian countries' specialties. This is a Cambodian, wait..Myanmar...wait..The Philippines ...wait...Thai...oh well....I am sure that those countries have similarities of using 'pineapple' to be one of the ingredients in making fried rice. and yes..this is pineapple rice.

hmmmm...I'd love to have this food once again...and again...and again...

Then I continued my journey into...oh no..I should've remembered in which part of the world I was in. 

Okay..the salad was good...and I love the potato tots.  

European friends prepared cake and this was splendid. ...

again..I should've asked to what specific country this cake derived from.

*Oh, I must've been busy holding my plate full of food while taking pictures of the stalls and booths.

Simply oblivious of the fact that I needed to jot down there they come from. 

Then, off we went to Central Asia...and oh, Kazakhstan food was another thing worth-trying for. and..wait...I thought I saw some "resoles" here. I thought that these were Indonesian food.... and..yes..I was right. It turned out that Kazakhstan and Indonesian friends united themselves to present their food at the same table and group. 

Oh, this is the Ethiopian Coffee I was talking about at my other entry.

Seoul Olympic Park in Autumn (part 6)

 We're already at the rear entrance of the park where we got to cross the bridge. I think it's the first time that I noticed this kind of arch-type bridge in Korea. Though small in size, still I found it romantic. 

oh, talking about romanticism, a couple was walking on the bridge when I was about to take a picture of Eyra. 

This was a perfect blend of nature, modernity, and ....arch-type bridge. 

what a great day it has been. 

just couldn't get enough of the bridge...
