Around Youido...And...Sharing Festival....

Just crossed the street after finishing my recording session. Then...off I went into the woodsㅋㅋI mean...park 

....yup.autumn is teasing us ...luring us to be outside. See the world. 

...I happened to be witnessing some preparations for the 6th Korea Sharing Festival or 나눔축제

The tents in colourful displays were being set up. yup...Sharing Festival.

Outdoor Class

we deliberately went out of the classroom and had our Sunday class at Youido Park.

we were having lunch at 전주콩나물국밥.my fave restaurant in Youido.

with friends...other tutors as well as our students of UT Korea~Indonesia Open University in Korea. 

We're having our class ...right here on the spot where trees and flowers were blossoming.

picnic+studying at this place was simply okay....minus the commotion we saw around us ㅋㅋㅋ

Bright, Yet...Cold!

 

The bright daylight with clear blue sky did not necessarily mean that I could run about or walk about gaily. Nope. 

It's winter and all of the precautionary peripheral winter outfits were all that mattered. 

Blue as it may be...... colorful sky in a bright day as it turned out to be...

did not go along with the black masker I was wearing...to help me feel warm; to help me breathe in the midst of the chilling wind-blowing afternoon..especially when I got to walk across the park with gust of wind thrusting against your face....

We returned the rented bikes and off we went to the other side of the park..walking. It's almost lunch time...the only place we knew was..IFC Mall.. adjacent to the park. But..let's make some more pics...

Just when we're ready to go to have some lunch...the kids spotted a playground...and there they were! 

Oh, well. I thought that they're starving enough and that they'd stop playing... 

But, I was wrong...

They ended up playing around for another 30 minutes... 

As for me. Okay...I did have some moment with the natural surrounding again.

It was indeed a nice shocking view that in the 2nd day of Spring...the park had turned into this lush green. 

Come on..Lunch time's calling. 

Spring @ Yeouido Park & Yeouido Hangang Park (part 1)

Sunday, April 6, 2014. What could be a better way to spend a weekend economically? Go to the nearest park and enjoy the rest of the day..especially in Spring time like this ( at least a few weeks ago!) 

We promised the kids to take them to the park and let them roam the park on rented bicycles--which turned out to be quite a rare treat that time--considering the crowds and the fame of the park during spring time. 

Luckily, we managed to rent three bikes enough for us to go around the park and enjoy the blissful moment of Spring time. 

People thronged the park in groups or couples..which pretty much summed up what people were actually doing to taste the buds of spring. 

Off we went through the tunnel connecting the park and Han River park. 

Da..da....and as I expected...lots of people were making the best of their time in one Saturday morning. It's unbelievably impressive...^^I mean, we could just the whole day being there and being thankful for the blessing we had to enjoy such a nice day.

Just look at the SKY! 

Hangang Riverbank Park was truly a remarkable place to be...when it's not hot:), of course.  

Eyra finally could let herself roam freely on her 'dream' bike:) 

As for Freya, she became somewhat attached to her newly found yellow four-wheeled bike^^

The Changing Facades of Locations I used to Overlook

It's changing? well, sure...simply due to the autumn foliage. It used to be plain green during summer...but then..it all changed into this.

All leaves turned into flower-like spectacle.

In summer, I would not even wink at this parking lot, let alone staring at it since it was barely plain with cars parked on it, oh, well..'but then...autumn came along.

Then, off I went to the 국회의사당 (National Assembly) station 

from where I get in and off to go to work. 

During summer...who would want to stop and stare at those skyline? Well, some might do..and they did:-) (me, once)

But, then...autumn with its blue sky came along...and as usual, I couldn't suppress the urge of clicking my camera just for the sake of 'capturing' what I saw on my home.

Strolling Along the Youido Park in the Blistering Heat of Summer

Yes..that's crazy. Just got back from IFC after a quick-browsing for souvenirs (again). Got some. And..I was thinking of taking a bus to KBS. But then I changed my mind. Instead, I decided to take a walk through the park. 

It's around 12 and I am sure that people were having their lunch by that time. That's why it's kind of deserted. Wait for another 45 minutes and these paths would be jammed packed with white/blue collars who felt the need to 'burn' down the energy (read: carbohydrate and fat) they just consumed.^^ (by walking, of course).

What a great day it was. OK, it was hot. It indeed was. But, the canopy ..I mean..the shades of the trees kind of spared me from being directly exposed to the prickling heat and humidity of the summer. 

Found a bag of Uniqlo deserted on one of the bench.

No one's around, but me...taking a pic out of it.
