Ready to Go Around with Adi Sonsaengnim!

Thanks to Adi, I could get around Jogja hassle free. Yes..he's been such a great help for me during my 2-day stay in Jogja. So, we went to Ambarukmo Plaza to do some mini-shopping....where we bumped into Kadek whos' now working at Samsung Gallery.

First, we needed some Rupiah. Gee..I do not have any debit cards...so I could not use any ATM. Nor do I want any credit cards. I was once in dire situation *thanks* to credit cards. 

Those days are gone. Thank God. 

So....that's what left. I got to make the best use of it..since that's the only survival money..I got left..until my departure to Seoul....아휴....But...let's do it. 

Oh, it's Ashar Time..and I always love going to the Masjid at the top floor of Amplaz... 

It's a small, yet beautiful Masjid..on top of a building. 

Bright day indeed. 

Got a chance to admire its simplicity ....

Ok..to give some perspective that it's really on the top floor..ㅋㅋㅋ well, there were so many "installation" like that one on top of the building next to the Masjid.

PH (pae-ha:) Stories @ Jogja

Guess...we missed the PH in Jogja. (suddenly...I became delirious^^)....Yup, it's been almost three years since the last time we had PH Time. Frankly..one of the reasons was simply because we never had one in Seoul. So, when I had a chance to meet Nana, my colleague, ..the only place that popped out of my mind was..well, PH.

And..since Eyra & Freya also wanted to meet her (affectionately lovable) eonni a.k.a. baby sitters (no..no...my students, Beth & Dewi whom they met in Seoul), why not asked them to join us @ PH? * Thanks girls..for taking our daughter to Timezone and let us enjoy our dinner. ^^

We might as well .....meet..greet...chat...and catch up what we'd been dying to share for the past two years...(c'mon...like there's no such thing as Whatsup ...and Facebook...

 or Path?) ^^

Then..another time..different location..but still @ PH^^, we had lunch along with my other colleagues. Yes...'spending time' at PH @ Jogja was so much fun.

And it's Lunar New Year's celebration...and we surely did take some time...

to seize the moment.

Gaming Agaiiin? Well....

What could I do to stop them from not going to Timezone? ^^ Nothing...after all I didn't want to. Okay...Timezone's been one of the places of *interest* for the kids to play..and for parents to spend *money* (chuckles). 

But that day..it's 100% Off. WHat does it mean? well....we got tons of time to spend with little money to spend. 

and the kids got a great time to spare...and as for me...I'd let them hang out there in Timezoen Jogja..... After all....we don't go to such places in Seoul.^^

Masjid On TOP of the Mall

Yes..It's been almost 3 years since the last time I visited this mall. What Mall? The picture shows a Masjid. Well..yes..this is--I think--the tallest or wait..should I call it the highest Masjid in Jogja? It could be..since it is located at the top parking lot of Amplaz Mall. 

I just couldn't help but taking the picture since the blue sky and the Merapi Mountain at the back...seemed to be so irresistible to miss. 

Wow. A striking contrasting color of the dome (at least to my opinion) was one of the reasons as to why I kind of 'salute' the management for upgrading the used-to-be temporary Musholla into Masjid.

*Well, who would've thought that this is actually a Masjid at a mall.:-)

Timezone: We'reeee Baaaacccckkk....for a while!

One of the so-called 'weekly' routines that Eyra and Freya used to do back then. They had this reload-able membership card with which they could play at the playground area--with extra cost, of course. But, as I remembered correctly, they more often than not...offered discounts with which they could spend extremely 'not-that-cheap' amount of time at Timezone:)

So, they're so excited to find out that we brought them back here. 

Though they could do most of these stuffs @ android smartphones, I still could not believe how they're still attracted to 'DO' this picture-scratching game. :-) I guess..the only reason lies in the fact that they could print out the picture along with their picture right after they finished 'drawing' the picture. 

While their Mom and auntie were busy playing supposedly kid-game, Eyra and Freya were asking me what other options they had...to 'use up' all the points in the card. 

"So, did you have a greaaat time, Mom and Tante Yuni?" 

Yeaach....they seemed to be having a great time, though. 

One last click of the mall with its Imlek decorations hanging and dangling down at the main atrium of Amplaz. 

Though it may sound weird, but...I got to admit that the 'sense' and 'smell' and 'sound' of Amplaz kind of made me feel 'homey' (hmm..though I still wonder if it is the right diction to use).

An Early Imlek (Lunar New Year) Celebration?? Not Quite So.

Ready to get set and go for the first night-out again in Jogja? You betcha. We sort of 'dragged' ourselves out of the 'lair' of our remote neighborhood about 45-minute drive from downtown...to go 'downtown' and..what we meant by downtown was no other than Ambarukmo Plaza a.k.a. Amplaz--as we affectionately call this home-sweet-home plaza.

As soon as we got out of the car, the bell boy at the entrance greeted us by saying that it had been quite a while since we last visited the plaza.

hahaha...we're so distinguishable from other guests..since we're used to coming to Amplaz once a week. 

Happy Chinese New Year or Imlek in Indonesia or 설날 (Seollal) in Korea.

This year, it so happens that we're spending the holiday in Jogjakarta & Kediri. 

Then....it would not have been 'US' had we not deliberately 'invited' ourselves to Pizza Hut. Yes, we never went to Pizza Hut in Korea. First, it's so expensive in Korea. Second, there are none we could eat. Well....we're so excited that we could 'savor' our appetite or longing for PH. And...avocado juice...was the highlight. It's so yummy and delicious.   

Eyra, Razqa (their cousin), and Eyra: the trio who are always on their best energy and shape whenever the term 'dine-out' came out of our 'vocabulary list' during our visit to hometown: Jogjakarta.

well..it is going to be another year of Ramadhan season. Never thought that time flies so fast like this.
it was last year's ramadhan festivity that we went to at the mall :( pathetic, eh.
but then...that was the only thing that we could come up when it comes to talking about last year's  ramadhan. gosh.
enough said. the thing is....
the picture taken here is the one we took with an outfit and backdrop provided by the mall.
looking back....both eyra and freya were so ecstatic.

Weekend with Eyra and Freya?
it's been a month since the last time we took them out for a walk.
well, as always...:) taking a walk means..shopping at the malls. hmmmm...not a good term, isn't it?
the truth is ...we barely find perfect time to do shopping for Freya''s pampers, milk, and other 'unileverian-stuffs we need. So, it all came back all again and again that we should go to this mall--particular Mall, AMplaAz. Ambarrukmo Plaza...where we mostly hook ourselves up.

Eyra...and Freya were as usual....glad (at least, I thought so:). They couldn't let their eyes off the glowing lights above and all the toys they could dream of.

In fact, they were sleepy even before going out. So, I am pretty much sure..that they were trying hard to enjoy the evening. But I guess they did, though.

so, we spent another hour in Carrefour just to spend $20 on milks, pampers, noodles, fruits, and ..........gosh I didn't know what we bought. the truth? we spent $ 40 or more......for a night!. yep...that excluded the CDs and Tapes we bought earlier. wasn't it awesome ? awesome? oh come on Suray......come to ur senses.....what were you thinking?................

I just hope that I will get something good in return for having spent something on these things...in fact..I did spend it on things that eventually we need anyway. hmmm is it an excuse or what? ....

I just pray and hope that we will be wiser in spending.
But..hey..................irrespective of all those.....I couldn't let one fact go....i.e. Eyra was so happy during all evening.
and that's what Money can't buy.
