Berkat Adi..Akhirnya..Ketemu Juga Tas yang Kumau

Bodypack. Ever since I laid my eyes on Bodypack last year..I fell in love with this brand.

So..that night..I was *hunting* for other bags from Bodypack. It's simple.. but  kuat banget...^^

Thanks to Adi...again and again...we managed to get around Jogja to get stuffs I needed. 

The following day, the day I had to leave Jogja..we met mbak Santi, our staff at the Center. It's a bright day...to take it in. Thanks mbak Santi...c u again, ya......^^

that day..I needed one more bag, especially a cabin bag...and Adi just knew where to go. 

He took me to Malioboro Street where he showed me a great shop to buy inexpensive bags....even at way much cheaper prices as compared to the ones at the dept. stores. wow..thanks Adi. 

I could save my money...ㅋㅋㅋ. I mean...I didn't want to overspend...my budget.

On (The Train) ...On My Way to Kediri

Full of Batiks t-shirts as souvenirs, and J-Co Donuts I bought an hour earlier. Yes, I was craving for these donuts...even before coming back home to Indonesia.

Just when the time let me..I rushed to the Malioboro Mall and grabbed a dozen of these deliriously beyond delicious donuts. 

With a huge traveling back, I was lucky to have front-seat so as not to having stored the luggage on the overhead storage.Instead, I just put it right in front of my seat. 

Hmm..I know..I know..I couldn't resist it. I just wanted to grab some. Ok..just take a peep. 

and this is the best, creme de la creme. I loved this nasi rames...a rice with assorted side-dish..a vegetarian style. Wrapped in a banana leaf...with sliced sauted potatoes, some soybean paste...I mean..tempe...and then...some vegetables that perfectly went along with all of them.

Ok..enough..talking..gosh..I want to eat nasi rames agaiiiiiiin.

Malioboro Express Train

I had no ideas as to what the management of the train was thinking when they decided to cover almost most part of the train in batik? Well, the good intention of using the traditional pattern (such as batik) to be incorporated into the train...is something that should be appreciated. I can't agree more. BUT....should it be like this?

I feel like....lost and lose my appreciation. Gosh..I almost couldn't tell which one's the door to the toilet and the one connecting to the adjacent compartment.^^ 

Thank God...the interior of the compartment where I got to sit was FREE from those cheesy wallpaper. I'd just hope that they would remove some parts of the wall paper....so as to ease the sore eyes of being exposed to such blaring wall.

Once again...I was glad that my compartment at Malioboro Express Train serving its daily service from Jogja-Kediri-Malang ....DID not Have the Batik pattern. 

Don't get me wrong, I love Batik pattern..as long as they are carefully applied. 

*Suray, enough complaining....^^. Nope...I was just rambling..ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

From Jogja to Kediri

It was Tuesday night at around 9 pm and we were ready to depart to Kediri, East Java. Going back home..Freya was so excited to take the night train... 

I always love the facade of the old Tugu train station in Jogjakarta. It looks new though. I guess they just made some renovation or some sort of re-modelling the interior.

At about 9 pm, we were ready to board the Malioboro Express train from Jogja to Kediri.

Bulgogi @ Insadong

Bulgogi? I think most Koreans love bulgogi or marinated barbecued beef (or chicken or pork). But, I think the one being served right here in this restaurant is the beef one. At least the one that we ordered. See the ambiance of the restaurant. It is a traditional yet modernly decorated one, right?

All of my friends ordered bulgogi, complete with its side dishes and rice.

The one we had was more like a 4-person menu so they could share the bill, later ^^. But, not to worry because the reason we had the bulgogi here is to experience the authentic Korean cuisine with the complimentary of the Korean Brand Communicator of which we are the member. ^^ How nice is that?^^

I ordered another dish specially for me, and it was bibimbab-like menu or mixed rice with lots vegetables on it. But, the one I ordered is a bit different since we had this heavily or strongly scented dwenjang (fermented soybeans) that I got to put into the vegetables so as to bring about the flavor.

A close-up look at the bulgogi that we ordered. There was a lot of mixed veggies on it that this meal serves itself as one of the most sought after meal, for its being healthy. Just think: mushroom, sprouts, beans, garlic, and even dates were all dipped and mixed into it.

Another angle and shot of the bulgogi. After waiting for about 15 minutes or so, my friends finally got their appetite swagged by the delicacy that this special dish offered. 

Kimchi. What would a Korean meal without kimchi or fermented cabbage. This hot and spicy, yet refreshing dish is a must-have side-dish in almost all of Korean meal.

This is the alley where we had our bulgogi. I think this is a typical alley that Insadong offers to its visitors. Lots of yogwan or losmen (in Indonesian) or hostels are mingled with cafes, restaurants, and tea-houses. 

It somewhat reminded me of Prawirotaman or any alleys that I used to find back home in Malioboro, Jogjakarta. A similar look reminded me of my hometown.

The kids @ Malioboro

During my mother and my sister's visit to Jogja, I had a chance to take the kids to a playland on the 3rd floor of Malioboro mall while the women (mother and sister) spent their evening shopping to their heart content.

Since I did not know where to take the kids, I just might as well take them inside the mall where I could have something to eat while watching over the kids.




So, we ended up on a playland, bought them some balloons, cooled ourselves with some McD's ice creams; took some snaps of the scenes....











The kiddos were happy. So were their mother and grandmother (a.k.a. my Mom).
