Seonyudo: First Impression

It's really beyond my expectations. I mean...it's pretty.

We didn't know that we'd end up spending almost 3 hours in the drizzling...!!!

...that's how irresistible. ..this place was.

There were lots of neat spots to capture...

I'm sure...it's because it's autumn.

Love being there and definitely. ..going back to check it out how it'll look in different seasons.

선유도이야기 Story of Seonyudo Island

We're inside the museum of Seonyudo island which used to be a water installation plant for Seoul city. Lots of people came to make the best use of its dilapidated machines and walls..for photographing.

There's a piano at the entrance of the museum. Anyone can use it...

...and of course Freya couldn't let the chance slip.away. 

Inside...there's a huge machine used as the water pump in its heyday. We're taking a rest on a bench in the museum...

..and I explored in details...the interior and the exhibits...

...wow...넘 신기하네요.

With her red jacket, Eyra was visibly in contrast with the surroundings.

My eyes and senses are getting numb of these colors....yet it's an ieerily...enjoyable numbness.

Some branches were already barren...sadly left broken un-leave-ed^^!+^*^

I was already on the top of the walking bridge when I saw Freya running onto where I was..

...she barely realized that it's high enough for her age...or at least for her.

...along came her sister and they began to...as always...teasing each other...

...forgetting...oblivious that they're above the ground....

...oh...since we're almost shy..ㅋㅋㅋor...I mean...we seldom take pictures just the two ofus...so we thought of...

...asking Eyra to take some pics of ours while we're on top of the bridge.

...I rarely put these pics on my blog as well...

...but..these are exceptions... Our daughters took these pics of ours.^^ Freya was holding the umbrella to keep her Sister dry.^^

It would've been justnan ordinary place in summer...but boy...autumn did change its nuance and...

...we're overwhelmed by its sheer and raw beauties. 

Who needs to go to Nami island???

...when you could find it right in the heart of the city???

Tree-House-Like Veranda!!???

I don't know exactly how to describe it, but...these two trees were not harmed during the construction of this high observation deck.

...it's one of the view we could savor from the deck.

It's not much to see with the hanging clouds...but we could see mountain ranges on a clear day.

...we might as well enjoy what's left..^^

간지러워서...Freya held her Mom tightly.

Yup...it's quite high and for those who feel "squemish" to height...or acrophobia...

But...the view down there was quite something, though.

...the pillars supporting the observation deck...leading up to the riverbank

...and when we threw away our acrophobia...we'll definitely enjoy our stroll along the walkway

...or path...leading up into the island...

...ok...let's explore the island...or...get out of here...!!!

Seonyudo Island: The Bridge to Reach & Get Out of There

A bridge connecting the island and the Han River bank...

It's only accessible by people...not even bikes!!!

It opens for 18 hours a day, though.

The skyline of Youido CBD...

...is visible from the bridge...and it's...

...somewhat different from the view seen from Mapo Bridge...

...and it's a scary....yet fun experience to cross this bridge.

..it may be just okay during clear days...

...but not during rain and gushing wind blowing in all directions...

...but...when it's clear...it's surely gonna be a different story.

Let's walk cross this bridge fast!!!

...while at the same time I couldn't put my camera down...

...since the view itself was worth-captured.

...phew...finally we made onto the bridge over the highway...

...yes...we still had to cross another section of the connecting bridge....which fortunately gave us a different angle of the skyline.
