Autumn Foliage @Freya's School^^

Today was the day I got to meet Freya's teacher. It's a consultation day. 상담날이죠.

Afterwards. . .after 30 minute meeting...we rushed to the schoolyard to enjoy....

..the beauty. Yup....그냥 놀이터인데 이렇게 아름다운 줄 생각 못했네요.

We didn't have to go far away to enjoy this.

Yup....this was...the view from our daughter's school. 이뻐...as they say it.

It's simply stunning, right?

I mean...we didn't go to Seoraksan. Though I'm sure it's definitely incomparable^^

It's simply a. . .just a schoolyard....in autumn.

But..hey. . .being there....

..cherishing the moment...

...was worth it. Afternoon well spent.

Salah Satu Bentuk Apartemen di Seoul

Seoul memang identik dengan apartemen.

Tak ada yang bisa menyangkal fakta ini. Mulai dari apartemen yang sederhana sampai yang mewah, semua ada. 

Lingkungan di sekitarnya pun juga beragam. Ini salah satu yg kusuka.

Tidak terlalu jangkung, namun lingkungan asri mendukungnya.

Unused Railway at the back of our house

Yes..it's dilapidated well...not really. It's just abandoned for good. No more trains pass this track any longer. The newest one is underground a few meters away from it. So, sometimes..we just cross over it to get to the bus stop, cos it's closer. We need not go down into the underground crossroad to reach the street. 

What we love about this location is the fact that wild flowers were just springing up all over the place so as to make it a good spot to hang out or walk around.

The heat in the summer could be distressing, but...the wind just keeps on blowing from all directions in this area...that at times it cools us down.

Eyra & Freya makes friends already

It is spring and when the sun is shining and the temperature is not that cold, it is like...too good to stay indoor, especially for the kids. After we moved out to a new off-campus apartment, I am glad to know that the kids find it easy to interact with the new kids in the complex. 

Eyra & Freya makes friends pretty much more quickly than I'd thought before. Taking out her hoolahoop and her bike along, both Eyra and Freya went out to the parking lot in front of our housing complex. They made friends already. 

All of the kids here are either foreigners or multicultural kids since we live in a foreigners' apartment provided by the campus.  

It's amazing to learn that they communicate in Korean and English at the same time. They kind of mix the language to communicate with one another. The amazing fact about kids' adaptability and capability to absorb new language. or...kids' language is something that adults can learn.^^ 

Now we don't have to worry about them having a great time after school at home. More and more kids are making the best of their time while living and studying in Korea, too..along with their parents. 

*Love the fact that our new apartment have a parking lot where kids can at least...roam and do stuffs freely there...with minor concern..that when the cars are jammed parked...not many space left for the kids to hang around.* but...that's another story.

What is THAT???

Just walking by Imun street when I got a glimpse of what i thought to be a tractor on top of the rooftop. It turned out to be what I thought it was.

It IS a tractor. Well, for some other people, it may not be a surprising thing. But for me, it was.^^ 

They were demolishing a building to make a better new one, of course. I just wonder how the tractor could end up being up there? Of course, some huge crane must've put it there. But how? For an ordinary people like me who know nothing about how such thing came to work...I was just spell bound.^^

A trivial thing that does not seem too trivial for me.^^

Moving Out...(part 1)

What a mess, well...we just moved in.

Spring or at least.....February and March are the best months to move into new homes. I just found out that Koreans tend to change their address a.k.a. moving out into new apartments, houses, one-rooms, two-rooms, villa, and other types of housing....before Spring or during Spring.

and...so do we. 

Last week on March 9, just one day after my birthday...we moved into a new house. Previously, we lived in  a "two-room" where we stayed for a year and two months. 

Now we have moved into a new small apartment ...a very small but surely this one is bigger than our previous one. It is actually our university's apartment for foreign students and faculty members. 

(GOOOOSSSHH just look at the boxes, stuffs, and other gosh-I-don't-remember-what:) Anyway,thanks to  our friends who helped us out during the moving-out and moving-in parts, we finally made it. 

We brought all of our stuffs and stacked and squeezed them into boxes. See those? Apparently, we used the used-boxes we got from the stores and some we bought from the post office. One thing for sure....we just thought of the best and efficient way of bringing in all the stuffs we had. 

So...bye-bye our "two-rooms" in Imundong.

Thank you soooo much for being our home for the more than a year.

We now live in Nowon-district. a 20-minute ride by subway ^-^ Horray...:( ^-^ just to get to campus.

Farther away...but the neighborhood is comfier.
