August 11, 2014: Lunch to Celebrate Our 12th Years of Marriage

We're planning to go to some place special..but since I was a bit tight up today...we only went to a nearby restaurant "Bapuri" where we had what the kids wanted to have: cheese rapukki. 치즈라뽂이. Yes..it's not something fancy or glamorous but...this was what the kids wanted for their lunch. And...Freya loved it. 

Yes...we've been together for about 12 years since 2002!!!^^

after having gimbab and cheese rapukki, we moved on into a nearby cafe and ordered mint-chocolate-ice flakes 초코민트빙수^^  and some bubble tea for the kids. 

Again..this was also nothing much compared to what we cherished.

Thank you, Eyra and Freya for being such wonderful daughters.

Summer Treat

What would a summer treat in Korea be without any ice cream or patpingsu?

So, the other day...just when I thought the girls were home, it turned out that they were hanging out in the neighborhood's one and only Paris Baguette Cafe.

I learned it from my wife's Kakao Talk message..telling me that they were cooling OFF themselves in the air-conditioned cafe at Paris Baguette. 

Just in time when they're about to finish...I took a snap pic of their FUN from the street. 

Before entering the cafe, I managed to take one more shot at their 'cooling-off' afternoon activity at the 2nd floor of Paris Baguette. 

no..not this one. It's another SUMMER treat we had..the other day.

Actually we'd just finished having a dinner invitation..and yet...we did not go home right afterwards..instead..we veered off into...Baskin R's ice cream. 

Back to Paris Baguette, it's the fruit-patpingu that they ordered. 

And this is the very picture that they sent me..to entice or lure me to come...^^

Patpingsu + Homework

Patpingsu (팥빙수) is accompanying Eyra in doing her homework. 

The other day I picked her up from school and since it was a bit hot, we decided to have patpingsu at Paris Baguette, near our home. While waiting for the ice to be served, Eyra took out her homework..and began doing it right there on the spot. 

So, we ended up spending an hour to 'indulge' ourselves into the freshness of patpingsu. We have this fruit patpingsu with pat (red beans paste). 

In less than an hour, she finally did her homework. 

Now, let's start digging in, Eyra.
