A Coincidence?

I guess not. I just realized that EBS TV really shows what the children in South Korea are learning. I mean.....everyday they broadcast stuffs kids (mostly at the elementary school) need to learn and brush up on a daily basis. Ok, the other day, since it's the graduation week for all kids at school, the program highlighted about wish-necklace...or hope-necklace that all kids need? must? have to? make in the class. They write down all of their hopes, promises, wishes, etc on numerous paper and then rolled them up one by one..and then attached them one by one so as to make a chain. Yup, a chain or necklace of hope.

Here's the thing: was it a coincidence that Freya just happened to make one at her school that day? No way. It's not. So, I learned that this hope-necklace class activity must have been a nationally-driven program to be carried out in the whole Korea. wow. 

okay..just saying. wow. hmm....hmm..hmm..

A Recollection of Freya's Ice Skating Trip

For just a mere 2,000 won, any one could enjoy a light thrilling slide on this inviting ice rink...temporarily created at Youido Park...during winter.

I just looooved the atmosphere no matter how freezingly cold out there.

...and....she couldn't bear the cold after an hour of circling around the rink. A cup.of hot chocolate would do.*~*

Then....time to pack and go...

..but first...a few pics of what she's doing to get prepared for the skating. She's in line to get her skate boots.

Freya in Action

학계 발표회이었다.

She's singing an Indonesian children song....which she sang both in Indonesian and in Korean....to her friends' surprise.

..hmm...it's almost inaudible....that's why I put subtitles in the video.

...and this is a highlight of what her class was showing off during the performance.

One's gone.coke....orange juice...coffee....sundae choco...and choco flurry....the last one's missing...I mean...dumped already.

*waiting for Eyra....killing the time...and ended up spending money, too. Oh, well.

Bantuin PR-nya Freya

Ampuuuunnn....PR bhs Koreanya Freya yg kelas 1 SD sj sdh bikin puyeng Papanya. Kayak mau ujian TOPIK saja sampai-sampai harus pakai Naver dictionary untuk mencari jawabannya.^^ ㅋㅋㅋ

Kebayang nggak....spt bhs Indonesia...kita hrs bisa membedakan lari tunggang-langgang, lari terbirit-birit, lari kencang, lari secepat kilat, ...dls. ennnn...itu semua dlm bhs Korea. *gubrak* untunglah....enjoy saja kita ya, Freya.

아빠와 함께 하는 독서교실 part 2

Autumn...last weekend on October...Freya school invited the students along with their Dads to participate in a program...called "Reading Class with Father" 

Of course...we're sitting while the teacher was delivering a story-telling act...

아빠와 함께 하는 독서교실 Daddy..Let's Play!!! Part 1

Today...I attended Freya's school to have a weekend's program specially designed for the kids'fathers....

...to have a great time. Okay..that's the mask we made out of this wonderful program.

We each got a chance to be polaroided^^ 

The first program was mask-coloring. ...and everyone received a copy of Polaroid.

We took.turn.to.be.pothographed....well. ..it's  special since it's not like any digital.photos we're so accustomed to. Even some kids were amazed at it.

Da...da.....we're proud of what we made today.

I'm sure that others were also proud of being able to join in.the program.

Oh...for one hour we also had lots of game....so much that we're so exhausted yet happily ecstatic.

Fathers ...who usually do not go to their kids' school...got a chance to chip into what it's like to hang out with their kids at school.

We did HavE FUN.

Hanya 19.000 won utk sepasang sepatu cantik ini? Untuk ukuran di Seoul, ini murah bgt. Untunglah Freya mengerti bhw dia tdk hrs beli yg mahal-mahal. Syukurlah.

Night Biking + Ice Cream!

Since it's a bit cool and breezy....and since I got some errands to do, I was thinking of going on a bike.

But....Freya insisted on going along with me.Well, we might as well take a night biking then.

The bike line in our neighborhood was just completed a few months ago. The idea of cherishing the moment came along as we were passing it through.

Freya did enjoy the time we spent biking. Oh....actually she's sitting on the front while I was pedalling the bike. She got numb but enjoyed it anyway.

. . What's a better way to end our journey? Ice cream.scooping.!!!
