Storytelling Contest @ Kyunghee

We just finished enjoying the annual Fairytale Storytelling Contest held by Modoo Children Library at our neighborhood. Since it's the 7th edition, the committee posted the yester year's posters to.showcase the achievement.

This year...we're also participating and supporting. Fun indeed.

This year's posters as posted on the walls all over the building where the event was held. It's at Kyunghee University.

Every year we have different venue to hold the event. 

Ok...it was almost sunset when the event came to a conclusion.. . . .and I concluded ^^ that we might as well enjoy the sunset at the university since it was indeed a magnificent sunset.

Fairy Tale Storytelling Contest. ..part 1

It's that time of the year again...where the families of multicultural backgrounds in our neighborhood gathered. ...celebrating the differences...

...by participating in the storytelling contest. Kids from several countries were joining the contest. It's 5-member group...telling a story in 5 different languages!

One of our friends' family took part in reliving the story about a relationship between an ant and a pigeon.

Children choirs....what's not to love?

I took.the.kids to see all.of those.

Oh...we participated in the same event 3 years ago when we got the 1st prize^^

Ok....winners announcement. ...and my wife...becoming one of the jurors...

..coming on stage....

....giving the certificates to some winners.

..it's a great moment for some.

...and ...well...

Anyhow. .it's a celebration for all.

Charity Fiesta ..for The Library

I came to the bar with Eyra...

..who's a bit scared of the atmosphere of the bar where we're having our charity party.

....there's another event...coming up.

Right...we need some help to save the library from being closed.

..the library was inviting lots of people...

...to come...and enjoy...

...the party held at a bar in our neighborhood.

...we could eat....drink...donate...on a monthly basis to keep the library alive.

....well...the venue was a bar....but we're having the place as a venue and change it into a family-friendly place tonight.

...to invite more people to donate.

Indonesian Food and Culture: Street Stall

We bumped into our long-time-no-see friend...Kim.Yoori and her friend.

Thanks to Modoo Library and 푸른시민단체, we managed to hold this festival. 

We set up.some tables for visitors to relax and enjoy our presentation.

Kids gleefully took.part in traditional IndonesianIndonesian paintings class.

it didn't dampen.our spirit...  Even..when..we're having this festival under the flyover....

In fact..it's given us a new look for the occasion.

Om Kiky...mb Mia...mb Dian and her families were all there to support the cause.

We also got introduced to newly met friends....

From 5 to 7.pm...at Hoegidong...

We brought out the highlights of Indonesian traditional musical instruments like angklung...

This was pretty much how it looked like from.afar.

Indonesian cultural festival for our neighborhood community.
