DMZ Photo Exhibition @ KBS

I was walking through the KBS tube tunnel when I encountered an on-going exhibition of DMZ theme photo exhibition.
This is the KBS tube for KBS employees and visitors whenever they want to go from one building to another. I think it is the best spot to have an exhibition, then.
hmm..never see DMZ like this before.
snow-covered DMZ.
Frozen with seemingly no life....
another section of the exhibition tube...
All kinds of pictures depicting the never before seen footage or pictures from DMZ.
A picture taken from one of the surveillance underground shelter.
Another snow-covered mountain range in DMZ.
Loved this one. It is a contrasting depiction of what's left with the Korean War..
a rotten tank dumped on a green ...with bright blue backdrop!
This one too, with the title "the Power of Time", the picture tells the springing up sprout that goes against the time....
Now..this is something that I wanna go and see.
This was not the DMZ that people got a chance to see on a tour...
I wish more people would take their time and take a look at the pictures...
Had it not been explained that it was in DMZ, I would've mistaken it for the Himalayan Mountain.

Exploring Freedom Park @ Incheon (part 5)

A far-out look into the the faraway Incheon park seen from above the Freedom Park.
This is the Gen. MacArthur square @ Freedom Park. We did not go near the statue. Simply scanned through the park. Had it not been so hot, we'd definitely gone inside.
As a token of memory, let's take a snap shot here..with the Incheon port beyond. Strange as it may seem, but it pretty much reminded me of what Busan was all about.
An anchor--which to my guess--symbolized the docking or the landing of general MacArthur who led the UN-dispatched marines to 'save' Korea during Korean War.
Now back into the shades..we were descending the park and returning to China Town to explore more...
Hmm...they seemed to enjoy the stroll along the park.
Just look at how bright they were.
Summer apparently never dampens our spirit of taking a walk exploring Korea.
Right, girls?

War Memorial Museum (Part 2)

On the way to the huge and long corridor at one section of the building...
I think this was pretty impressive, considering the modern facade of the pillar.
At one side of the museum. We just finished going around inside when we found out that we could hang around for a while outside....and..
give Freya a chance to draw a plane. She had an assignment (yes...a homework) from her kindergarten!!! She should draw anything that might attract her during her visit to the museum.
One bright afternoon.
One balloon in one hand.
One huge museum at the back.
Peace sign on one hand.
Peaceful atmosphere at the back.
What a great way to spend an afternoon: walking and strolling along the park, learning something from the museum..
a time.... splendidly spent.
