Hartono Mall ~ Home Sweet Home

Passing by Hartono Mall~/..the soon gonna be biggest mall.in Jogja~~on our way to see our home we haven't seen for 3 years.

Now..It's Time to Go Back to Seoul, but First...

I need to pay a visit to the very home we left in Jogjakarta.

Yes..I've lived in this home for ..let's see...6 years..before we left for Seoul.

Yes..we left it empty...in Seoul....The color of the front facade..is fading..and we got to make sure that the house is intact... 

The cable satellite dish was still there. The mango tree at the side of the house is still giving its great contribution to give the house some shadiness....and..yes...we've got to make sure that everything's fine.

Our neighbors have been on the watch for our home in Jogjakarta. 

Al Jihad...the very Masjid where we had our wedding vow. The very Masjid...where we had our daily prayers...the very Masjid where ..some of our daily activities were based on...back in Jogjakarta.

On our way to the airport. Yes..Tante Yuni, Razqa...and Om Didik saw me off to the airport... 

Oh..did I mention that actually I should've left Jogja one day earlier..but due to the my negligence..of not paying any attention to the departure date...^^ I missed my flight...ㅋㅋㅋ

Anyway..as in the picture..I was on my way to the airport.....

Home We Left in Jogja....

We're waiting for the taxi that would take us to the home we left in Jogja for almost 3 years. This is the gate to Panasan village where we stayed during our stay in Jogjakarta.  

This used to be our home in Jogja before we left for Korea. Now it's been deserted for almost 3 years....:( We visited our home and gee...we got to wear masks all the time....) 

I couldn't believe it myself. One thing for sure...we got to think of what to do with the house when we come back from Korea someday (hopefully in 2015). 

Eyra just finished collecting her toys she found again to...be brought to Korea. 

and...this is ..wow...the deserted car....we saw it two years ago..and it's intact...only that it's fully covered in dust. 

Home Sweet Home in Jogjakarta (Part 2)

One of the little things that I miss is of course our little front-yard. Oh, I remembered my motorbike, too. Gosh, I think that was my Honda Karisma^^. The first motorbike I bought with my own salary. That lovely motorbike had been my dear fellow who accompanied me going back and forth: home - office - home. Purwo-UGM-Purwo. 

Then....one of the wonders that I loved most was the time when sunset came. We could literally and physically watch sunset every day. If we want to. That's the best part of living in a suburb of Jogjakarta where most of the houses (well back then:)...were surrounded (still) by greenery. I wonder what happens now. Well, for those living in the northern part of the city..it may still be true. I do hope so. 

Then...the little bell or I don't know what that is, though. Is it wind-tingling-bell? :) hehehe. Anyway..I had it hung in front of the house so as to let us know should someone come to our door . or ...the mere breeze of air or wind struck it...and generated some sound (which was) soothingly cool as I recollect. 

This is what I mean. We loved decorating our home with flowers. Sure, it did need a lot of patience and attentions. But..boy..it was a worth-it investment in making our home look homy. 

Back to my menagerie....I just want to dedicate this entry for our beloved old hand-phones: Nokia and Samsung. They were like...parts of the family back then. Sure...

My mother visited us. She came from Kediri (East Java)...and I remember her visiting us every now and then...I love her very much. I am praying that she is healthy and is always surrounded and blessed with love. Amen.  

Back to the sofa that I loved. I think this picture was taken at around dusk time. Just got back from work...parked my motorbike just right in front of the door. ^.^..then...a relaxing time came along...

I just cannot wait to be back to Jogjakarta again. Guess I have to wait for another 2 years (around 2015). Now..I am studying in Seoul and Bismillahirrohmanirrohim...I am going back again to Jogjakarta after graduating from my school in Korea. 

For the meantime: Thank you my home sweet home in Jogjakarta.

Home Sweet Home in Jogjakarta (Part 1)

Now that I live in Seoul...I kinda miss my home back home in Jogjakarta. Of course...Seoul is like a home to me now. But, surely...it's different. I mean...I did hot have as many spacious spaces as I used to have back home in Jogja. Living in a 2-room rental house in Seoul is surely expensive. Not to mention the monthly rent and its utility bills. And....no movie theater...since I am a movie freak. ^^

(hint: I got to say goodbye to my DVD player back home since it's gone now....^^) Thank you, my dearest movie player...

I also miss my book shelves where I could just stuff all of my books there. Lots of things to read and dump^^. And..the fact that it's spacious is enough to make me feel.....oh...relaxing. 

I remembered having fish as pet back then. All the menagerie I had on the shelf was like a little treasure, although they were no more than just little knick-knack or brick a brack... 

Whenever I felt like it, I remembered removing the TV set as to where I wanted to enjoy movie. Well, back then...it was a good-old days where I still had to take care of the house for the small family...

This is the facade when our house was still being built. I remembered going there almost on a daily basis to check and recheck its development. It's a very small house 123 meter squares. But, boy...the thought of having a home with our own budget was a relieving thought...especially when one's just got married.  

I like..I mean..my wife liked to decorate the house according to our taste. So, practically...we bought the curtain material, have it sewn at t nearby tailor and have them adorned the home...to our taste. We bought flower beds to decorate the back of the house..and other corners where our touches were needed.

Oh yes...the small green couch for couch potatoes like us was a must-have item at that time. I remembered buying that comfy-green couch with our own saving...yes..literally coin saving. We were like...collecting every unused little pennies we had and ...in a year..to our surprise...we managed to afford that cute thing.

now...bye-bye..but the memories still linger on.

Gosh..how I miss my home sweet home back in Jogjakarta.
