Eyra Ikut Jualan

Yup....that's Eyra. She's helping her Mom selling Indonesian food during a bazaar at Gwanghwamun square. Oh...she insisted on helping. And...oh. . .she came to Gwanghwamun by subway. . .herself. yes..she finally managed to take Seoul subway by herself.^^

In front of King Sejong Statue @ Gwanghwamun Plaza. With Bugaksan or Bugak Mountain beyond.

Eyra seemed to enjoy her time spent with her cousin, Razqa. 

With their Moms. 

The fountain added a festive atmosphere to the plaza. 

A good place to hang out ... especially when Mount Bugak was visible.

The Palace's Closed, But...Let's Take A Peep...

Freya was peeping into what's behind the closed gate of Gwanghwamun @ Gyeongbukgung..^^

Again..she tried hard to see what's behind it.

Freya's Historical Day Out!!

What a day. The sky's blue. Not a single cloud visible.

but.... Gyeongbuk Palace was CLOSED!!! 

we were about to explore the palace only to find that the palace was closed!!!

so..to make up for it...we just circled the palace around...and  took some pictures. 

Luckily..Freya was still as cheerful as she was ... 

even...when I told her that the palace was closed!!! 

oops....Bless You! 

Now..let's explore the palace's vicinity.

I guess...she kind of enjoyed it...

then..we're ready to go the main entrance... 

which turned out to be quite far..and we got to walk around the walled palace..... 

until we reached the closed gate of Gwanghwamun. Yes, the palace WAS officially closed..on the day we went there.

Should've learnt some information before leaving, Suray.!!!

I couldn't decide...which one to see..

Gwanghwamun Square

A walk through the Gwanghwamun Square in the evening of the first week of October. 

the crowd, the cars lining up, the office buildings, the colorfully vibrant downtown... 

Lee Sun Shin statue, taxi, crowd, the reflected evening sunlight on the buildings, the blue sky....the sight, smell, sound of downtown Seoul.

Wait...some intermezzos

Seonhee...what are you doing there?

She seemed to be thinking about something.

I was actually coming along to the Festival with her. But she was just busy taking phone business calls that she couldn't enjoy the whole festival.

I take a snapshot of the day. 

There goes my first intermezzo. 

Second: I didn't know who the man was, but he looked like he was a famous figure.

I could tell from the way people were like...greeting him and asking him for a picture^^ hmm (there goes my second intermezzo) 

I was directing my camera towards the Gyeongbukkung area...and all I could see was the 3rd intermezzo of the day.

Hi Seoul Festival 2013 (Zero-G Man) - (part 3)

One of the attractions @ the festival. In fact, I was so overwhelmed by the 'amount' (not number!!!) of shows being shown for us. 

But, one thing for sure..this is something that quite caught my attention. 

yep, a Zero Gravity Man. 

He's hovering right next to King Sejong.^^ 

and King Sejong got to be temporarily neglected.^^

the crowd cheered on the zero-gravity man, of course. 

What a stunt.!!! 

This man, too, is like hovering above the ground. 

I can't stand the sunglasses he's wearing, though.

He just did not want to stare at people, I think.;-D) 

Blue sky in the perfect autumn afternoon.

right in the middle of Seoul.

What a perfect way to spend an afternoon. 

See? King Sejong was like.."Citizens, why are you looking at this you-know-there-must-be-some-tricks-on-this-zero-gravity-man-right?":_) 

But, that's what really happened. People were enticed by the sheer spectacle. 

Just next to it, there is a clown/pantomime show...mingled with an in-between magic trick show.

Hi Seoul Festival 2013 (part 1)

Gwanghwamun Square...at about 5 pm....not many people? Well...we just need to know where to look!!!^^ 

The crowds were gathering in the center of the square where performance after performance were lining up to please the crowd during the 2013 Hi Seoul Festival. 

and..what's the commotion? 

It's a Zero-G man!!!
