Lotte World (part 3): Kids Having Fun...What about me?????...

The (should I say) downside?? of taking the kids to theme park was that...I just got to be very patient in accommodating what they wanted to do and do and do...and see and see and see and eat and eat and eat......while....I got not a single minute even to remotely think of having my own-kind-of-adrenaline-seeker self come out of me.^^

So...I did NOT take any roller-coaster ride(s)...instead...I watched the kids had their part of fun. (like this jumping fish ride).

I did NOT take my high-thrill seeker-self come out of me....instead..I watched the kids did make belief in this interactive paintings. 

But..the good thing was that...they did enjoy what they saw and learned from this kind of museum.

hmm....photo-perfect moment.

and when they're thirsty...."Daddy, Could I have some smoothies, please?"

And...there they got what they wanted. *sure, I had mine, too...eventually.

and...there they were again. Riding on other rides...again.

Oh...at least...there were manatees that looked exactly like the visitors.^^

another ride in this road bumper ride....after 45-minute of waiting in line.

But... I got to admit that although I did NOT take any rides.....

Seeing the faces of my kids...enjoying the rides and all the fun in Lotte World...

all of my inner-thrill-seeker diminished in a split of second.

So..you're having fun, right?

And..I was there to capture the fun they were cherishing. 

now...time to go home?

NOPE. it's almost 9.30 pm...and they begged to go to this drop-zone ride that they had taken before. So....Oh, well...

Seoulland (part 4): The Parade Begun

It's 2 pm and the first parade of the day started.  

well, Seoulland, of course, has its own style of parade... 

of course, no characters like Mickey Mouse because it's not Disneyland..and no other characters from WB or Universal World....coz it's not... 

but they have their unique characters....made in Korea. 

they're about to pass this street. Eyra and the gang were actually about to take a ride when the parade was passing right in front of them. They're still lining up..queuing ... 

So, they still had a chance to enjoy the parade. 

"Wait, bang..what were you looking at that you looked so surprised?" 

One of the characters that Seoulland has to offer is CANIMAL.

One of Korean CG characters. It's popular here and abroad, too..I assume. 

And Vroomies...also from Korea. 

See? That's all about it. Seoulland's attempt to have its own uniquness.

Children Grand Park (part 2)

What would a park be without an amusement park? and Thank God that's not the case with this park. The amusement park itself was more than modest. It suits and is palatable to everyone's cup of tea, be it thrill-seeker or just fun-seeker.  For the first one, roller coaster and any other adrenalin-fueled rides are there for them to challenge.

Since Freya could not ride most of the rides, she just kept on wandering on the amusement park. It's a good thing that she never insisted on riding those high and tall rides. She said 'Sarange-  사랑해' to me even when she was just....doing nothing. ^^ cute little Freya.

Oh, she was looking at the sky-train over there. When I asked her whether she wanted to take a ride on that one? she just shrugged....^^ 

Oh, see the green hat she was wearing? It was a bit way too big for her..that her Mom had to stitched a pin into it to make it smaller and fit into her head^^

I guess it was in the main boulevard of the park. The greeeen canopy and shades did help us from feeling the heat. It looked green, alright! But, the heat was a bit stifling. 

Luckily we managed to get around the park well.

Lots of people along with their family were strolling along the boulevard and taking a leisure time. After all it was Saturday...a weekend.

On our way home, we found a dancing fountain ..ready to greet the visitors good-bye.

I loved the pavement, pedestrian made of wooden plates on the right side of the street. It somewhat gave a sense of natural feeling to the street. The trees were left stranded and live right in the middle of the pavement without having to be destroyed. They just blend into the nature surrounding them.

Before going home, we took time to enjoy the splash of the water in the park. 

Eyra was a bit tired, actually. But, seeing the fountain had energized her energy back. Well, she still wanted me to carry her, though. * sigh*^^

The Atlantis @ Lotte World

THis has been a presentation from the Atlantis Adventure at Lotte World. Loved the ride. One of the best rides at Lotte World. Well, the video does not show much of it. Just some parts of what we could get once we get on the ride. Lots of fun indeed. To top it off, we were on in in the midst of chilling late winter or early spring.
* The video was taken while waiting for about an hour just to get on it. ^^

Lotte World part 6

Now comes the best part.

After almost 1 hour or so we were strolling or to be precise---wandering around in time inside the museum, we finally got ourselves inside the Lotte World indoor amusement park. We got there at around 4 pm just in time to get hooked ourselves into the mesmerizing world of fun and hysteria. ^^

To make it even more eventful, we planned in such a way  out of ordinary in a way that we just rode the most thrilling rides first. Good plan, for it turned out that lots of people were queuing  patiently...(some in whimper^^) to get into the ride. Even, we got ourselves stranded for about 1 hour just to take this so-called Atlantis roller coaster--the beast-est in the park.

Ok, another story, we got a photograph sessions right before entering the main atrium, though. Me, Marta Glowacka (a classmate from Poland) and Ayumi ( from Japan).

Then, of course, we got ourselves taken into the stillness of captured image in front of a huge poster (painting?) of what-seems-to-be African-style Paradise^^ (or so I named it)

That was the first and last time we ever got a group photo since as soon as we got ourselves into the midst of the theme park, we were somewhat or unexpectedly got lost or got separated in smaller groups. 

Ok, here are the atmosphere of the theme park at around 4.30 pm. not yet....many people being visible. But, wait till....we got outside of the world. (Yes, this indoor park is adjacently connected into the so-called Magic Island where the outdoor thrilling rides were awaiting for its visitors)

  I took a picture of an empty ice rink below. From the 3rd floor of the park, we could see the shimmering white and glassy ice rink that seemed to be longing for anyone to skate on it.

 When we got there, the afternoon parade just ended. TOoo bad, though. But, we did manage to get a  glimpse look at the characters of the park. Amusingly, most of them are foreigners. I do not know as to why most of them are foreigners who mostly come from Europe or America (I guess). They must be working or part-timing there. Well, whether it is to imitate the characters in US Disneyland or Orlando's Universal Studios...I'm not sure. Or it is to attract the curiosity and the palatable market for the locals and Asian alikes.....I dunno. But, I don't think it necessary, though. Well, for some characters...it might just work just fine.

 This was the spectacle I took when I was outside while waiting my turn to take on the Atlantis ride. The Lotte World indoor park and its adjacent hotel were visible. The bridge was the one that connected the indoor and the outdoor (Magic Island) rides.

 This is what I called the Giant Swing (I did not want to ride on it). And the Atlantis ride. A must-see for anyone visiting Lotte World. It was worth the wait. One HOUR of waiting !!!!! Gosh, we must've been so nut in the midst of chilling and windy weather that day.

 We also managed to take Pharaoh's Fury. Another not-that-scary or not-that thrilling ride but still...it was worth-it. I think I like the way the corridors leading us into the main ride were intricately decorated. One might mistake them for the real ones found on the tombs inside the pyramid. They looked real, though. So, the corridors out-won the ride itself.

Did I have a good time? NO. BUT, I did have a GREAT time.
