Hanbok Underground Market

We're going back home by subway after having our assignments at downtown Seoul DONE. The closest station was 

Jeongno 5-ga....and we're walking underground...

....bumped into the shops selling hanbok...

It's indeed another colorful world of Seoul.

...so many intricate fabrics turned into hanbok. ..that cost hundreds thousands ...or perhaps millions Won.

Dinner @ Gwangjang Market

 It's Xmas Eve and...people thronged to the street...well...

We're,  too. But...it's unintentional...since we're having some chores downtown...

...and dinnertime knocked our tummy out^^

...and we happened to be at Jeongno where this market seemed to be waving at us^^

Without further ado...we went in...

....suddenly amazed at the sight and sound...of this warm market in winter.

...we spotted this kind ajumma serving bibimbap...my favorite food!

...in 5 minutes...it's ready!

 ..yup...mixed vegetables and rice with spicy chilli sauce...

We also ordered 잔치국수 [janchi guksu] or...literally translated into 'banquet noodle'

...the colorful sense of bibimbap....eaten raw and fresh at the market really overwhelmed me.

....indeed it soothed the senses. 

I recommend. ..only go there at night to see a different ambience of Korea's traditional market.!!!!!

Biking Through The Market!

We bumped into a vendor selling 화배기 hwabaegi....or what I used to eat back home in Indonesia: bolang baling!

Wow....didn't expect this at all. 2 for 1,000 won...that's great!

♡♡♡oh...we could ride our bikes through the alleys of the market! This is alley market or 골목시장.

And...that's what tempted us to go inside.

We encountered lots of stuffs...for sure.

...impressed by its cleanliness.

Opps..we stopped right in front of underwear shop!!!

Was....eye shopping. ...

....strolling along the lanes....

...until.we decided to give it a second round...

For our next visit.

Mangoes! !!!!!!!

It's 30 minutes before the train arrived, yet I managed to buy 8 kg og mangoes at Setono Bethek market in Kediri. 

Thanks to Ricky my brother-in-law who showed me the rear entrance to the market in the wee of the night....just when I thought that the market'd been closed^^

10kg for a kilo of mangoes: Podang, Manalagi, and other kinds of mangoes.

Hmmm...lots of fruits I could buy....^^

Traditional Night Market @ Kediri

leading to the parking lot where lots of motorbikes were parked. 

We made a t shirt with Bara's name on the back of the shirt...at a cost of 17,000 Rupiah or 1.5$. 

We continued our stroll along the market. 

When we encountered this passionately kind-heart man selling fresh orange juice...for 5,000 each. 

But..as it turned out...the juice was superb!!! 

As it is a night market....the traditional one....we could bump into lots of vendors like these barbie-like dolls. 

let's take a moment for selfie. 

oh...kutemukan krupuk ini. wow....dan gulali or traditional stweets... 

and..got some to bring back home. 

mengingatkanku pada masa kanak-kanak... 

with the Arc de Triomphe visible....we're going back home. 

A traditional night market near SGL Kediri.

bye bye SGL. night time well spent. 

But..before going back home..NASI GORENG.......was a stop-over.... 

Oh...this was one of the BEST nasi goreng I ever had.

We're having a great night out with my younger sister's family.
