KBS Meeting Point

This luxurious venue called 하모니광장 (harmony venue) is specially designed for anyone visiting KBS Hall. Wait..not everyone..since it is located inside the lobby entering any studios, this is only for anyone waiting for their turn to be called into studios or meeting colleagues. So, I guess...it is also used by the employees, as well.

but..what I'd like point out is the decorative interior design that may give it a boost. 

With flat TV screen on each side of the meeting points, large sofas, and colorful atmosphere, anyone is pleased to sit and enjoy the time waiting for something or someone. 

Actually..I was too cautious to take this picture since some people were right next to me, but ...at times..I never care of others might think of me taking pictures as long as there was no rules prohibiting me from taking any of these pictures.

After all...I'd just want to point out the brightly lit interior design of this meeting place--which needs to be brought up and acknowledged. 

An Eye-Catching Nationalistic Ad

Just got out of the office when I spotted a very interesting ad afar. I did not quite sure what it was, though. But, one thing for sure it was posted on the high-rise wall of one of the high-rises at Yeouido.

It did make me kinda wonder as to what it was all about. A kid was holding a stick on which end attached a Korean flag--a real one!!!

So, if you happen to take a look closer, the flag is indeed waiving and fluttering as the wind blows through it.

Guess...it is a good way to promote 'something' though I am not sure what in this case.

At least, got a snapshot out of it and put it on my blog for everyone to see.

(*still a chilling afternoon on the 2nd week of April. Is it really spring?^^??)

(*still a calm afternoon as usual amid the heating 'situation' on the peninsula--which I do hope and pray will be calm and peaceful as always)

An Art Gallery Tube in KBS

A tube? A Tunnel? A bridge? An art gallery? well...all of them. 

This is actually a tube-shaped connecting bridge that (of course) connects things. What to connect? Building A and Building B inside KBS Complex. I pass this through 'tube' when I go to KBS World.

So, what is so interesting about it? 

See the pictures posted on each side of the glass-pane tube?  

Any familiar photo? "BOYs BEFORe FLOWERs? Yes, it highlights the achievement made by KBS through its television programs. Most representative programs are posted on this so called 'wall of fame'.

BUT....that's not all. Apart from highlighting the achievements, this tube is also dedicated to the pictures that show the less-fortunate friends of ours who live in different parts of the world. Captured on the camera, these pictures are for anyone passing by this hall.......to see and take a moment to think about the situation. 

The left side: the dramas and programs made by KBS and on the right side: the pictures that would encourage us to take a closer notice and look into our world. 

The tube is long enough for any representative dramas produced by KBS to be re-introduced. Even the 1980s hey-day were also portrayed here. Surely...none that I know of. But, that's the purpose of this art-gallery turned tube-bridge. Impressive, eh? 

Once again: the section that would remind anyone of what KBS has achieved.... 

And...one section: for us to take a closer look at the colorful life in other parts of the world. 

I think (if I am not mistaken), one of the reasons as to why these pictures are posted here is the fact that some renowned Korean actress did their voluntary work in this part of the world as part of the awareness program. 

Then..why the hall is empty? Well..actually I made it so. I had to wait until no one was visible^^

Of course...lots of people kept on passing by this tube. 

It just so happened that I took the picture patiently right until no one was visible.^^

* I think I love this tube for it really captures the spirit of how a space is well utilized into something meaningful.

And..the sun rays that penetrates the glass overhead...it's just perfect.

KBS Interactive Museum (part 1)

The same day (Feb. 6, 2013) when Mama went to Jogjakarta, we went to KBS museum at Youido. 

It's our first time touring the museum. Did not know what to expect inside. 

It turned out to be fun. 

We could play around at the blue screen where ...as if...we could be projected into a popular show broadcast by KBS. 

Not only Eyra and Freya who were excited, I was, too. Well, it would've felt disappointed if I had not tried it out myself.^^ 

Now we know how the virtual studio works...thanks to this interactive museum. 

Gang Concert show is one of the many famous TV programs aired by KBS, so it was such a good thing to be able to feel like ..being with the cast of this show. Simply loved it. 

The whole idea of this virtual TV is so intriguing that we did not want to leave this section... 

But...other interactive room was also too good to be true..to the eyes of the  children..and adults alike. Like this one: we could try our best in the dubbing studio.  

They could also try using the camera... 

Who would not want to be there...^^ 

구름빵 is one of the characters that the kids love. 

Eyra kept on trying her best to do the dubbing. She was reluctant at first..but after a few attempts, she managed to understand and got the hang of it.  

Then...off we went to another section of the museum.
