Annual Autumn Potluck Fiesta

Let's get the party started.

Yup....all foreign processors along with their families plus....some foreign  students gathered around these two tents...

Kids seemed to be faster in *securing* their parts in enjoying the fiesta the most.

What an evening!

The blue skies just gone....and....our apartment just looked somewhat different from this angle. 

Barbeque. ....ready to be served!!!

Kids...mingled among themselves. ...so did teenagers.

So did Moms.

There were some familiar faces and of course....first timers as well....

I happened to know some....

Hmm..BBQ was so tempting that Aris just couldn't be any more patient in waiting...

Ok....raw...medium....done....oh well....

As for me....enjoying the time....seeing new families. ...taking pics.....were....more than enoughto keep me occupied. 

All kinds of foods from.different families. ...meaning...from.different countries. ....were wow factor that most of us would love to enjoy.

Hmmm....kids are kids. Even with mouthwatering food on the tables. ....playing was the main staple.

It's a good thing Freya....occasionally stopped to eat....^^

Foods @Potluck

Hmmm....yummy humongous sandwich.

Banana pudding!!! 

All kinds of sliced vegetables and cheese.

Kids initiated the fiesta....definitely. 

Some mini gruits plus nachos and crispy crackers to stay afloat.^^~^

Tortilla chips...and their fellows.

Vegetarian rice, salad, and...all veggie food.

Cheese and more cheese.

Hmm....wonder what they are.

7 different sliced colorful pies.

And...more we couldn't save due to their popularity.

Pukis Time

My wife prepared some pukis or coconut milk cakes for potluck party at our apartment.

With cheese...cheddar....and blueband....and Coconut milk....directly brought from Indonesia, she prepared the cakes.

Even...the "loyang" or cake stove was imported from Jogjakarta ^^

...and with pandan leaf seasoning...the greenish texture came to life^^.

Selesai Kelas dan Menjamu tamu

Alhamdulilah...kelar jg kls 2 bln. Dari kiri..pak.lee. me. P.kim. pak ryu. bu lee dan bu Seo.

potlucks di kelas pas kls terakhir.

ada jaws. Kue pisang...resoles...dll.

then.....I also got to attend....a diner to welcome a delegation from Indonesia.

ada mkn mlm...yg dimulai jam 5 ㅋㅋ utk menyambut tamu dari Univ. Cokroaminoto Palopo di Sulawesi.

although it's blurred. ...at least it showed how warm the atmosphere was..during our dinner at a restaurant near HUFS. 

..as for me...

a hectic day.

Potluck Party @ Our Class

Yes, it's the last class we had in our conversation class. 

So why not make it into a potluck party while we had fun in the class.

Gyorun and Wook-seon were having their first bite of risoles--Indonesian-style tempura + dipped into ABC chilly sauce. and oh..we're also having banana pudding (not shown in the picture?)

Mr. Kim, mbak Joohyang, and mas Min-seok were also having their share of potluck. Apart from that, we also had some Korean snacks and walnut pie.  

These two on the right side...were busy indulging themselves into the food.  

and then..a group photo. 

We've been friends for about 10 weeks. 

Sure we'll bump into each other when time comes. 

Wook-seon: A cool-looking guitarist majoring in German who's passionate about having Indonesian language as another foreign language to master. 

Mbak Joohyang: a business woman who lived in Indonesia until her high school and who's passionate about Indonesia is an avid traveler to Indonesia thanks to her family business. She speaks Indonesian language, for sure. So..why joining the class? hmm...I am sure it's simply because she wants to make sure that she's surrounded by those speaking it so as not to forget what she learned.

 Minseok (at the back): a tough guy who likes to eat pindaetteok. At first, Indonesian language was hands-down difficult for him, but then..he got the hang of it. 

He's about to go to Indonesia for some business trip.

Gyorun: a student majoring in Malay-Indonesian language at HUFS. A girl who likes Garosu-gil: what for? Shopping? hmm...I wonder.

Mr. Kim: A businessman turned a novelist who's also an avid learner of Indonesian language--in fact he's been an autodidact learner. His passion to learn Indonesian language is clearly shown in his mastery of vocabularies. Oh, he's been a frequent traveler to Indonesia as well.

So, all in all: we're all Korindo (Korea Indonesia).
