Hazy Part of Seoul from Observation Deck @ Seoul Dream Forest

Finally....I made it....reaching the top floor at the observation deck after taking a 45-degree-slanted elevator. It wasn't that much, though. It's just a bit eerie considering no other person was at the deck. It's an evening ...winter night.

Seoul...the northeastern part of Seoul was visible from here. What's visible from there? hmm what else but apartments? yup, the quintessential part of Seoul is apartment..apartment and apartment complex. ...which sprawling across the city everywhere we lay our eyes onto.^^

I love this particular picture simply because I saw one particular red-and-white chimney protruding behind a hill.^^ Loved it.

The hill. The forest. The city. The night lights....in one frame.

IRIS? yep...this particular place was the location of a Korean TV drama titled "IRIS"

These were actually chairs....I found on the observation deck.

Deliberately put them in a row and then let my camera saw the city right through them. And..this is what I got from there.

The night's getting merrier. Though no other visitors were coming..and boy..it's creepy inside...but boy...the view outside was okay, though.

But, too bad..the glass on the deck was a bit dirty. I couldn't get a clearer picture of the night view. I wished they'd cleaned them up, though.

But..all in all...for a glimpse look of what Seoul may look like...okay-lah.

Of course, it cannot beat the view we'd see from Seoul N Tower which gives us 360-degree of the whole Seoul, but this is ...after all...a free view!

Yup..going up onto the observation deck at Seoul Dream Forest is completely FREE. 

On Our Way To~From the Seoul Animation Center

We encountered tiles on which different words meaning 'love' were inscribed, including Indonesian word 'cinta'

"Cinta" '사랑' 'love' 

These tiles were in the vicinity of Korea Red Cross building.

...Seoul Tower was visible far beyond...

...and we finally reached the Museum!

After 2 hours....we got out of the museum/animation center...only to find that....oh right..it's night already 

We're going back home....and heading back to Myeongdong station.

...and...Sunday afternoon...well.spent.

A Gift for Om Wawan & Tante Ulpe....

It's a...hmmm...well.....sort of last minute decision. I know that I should've bought something for mbak Ulfa and Om Wawan..as a token of friendship or well..a sort of 'remembrance'....but we did not think or could not think of anything until we came...all the way from home to Incheon airport..

so...upon encountering this AK Dept. Store ...we decided to scan through the souvenir section...

only to find that..WOW...THEY're all expensive...ㅋㅋㅋ

But...it's fine..since we got to buy SOMETHING...and then we decided to buy them...this.

So...cool that I captured it on a video...^^

Day and Dusk along Han River

yes...along Han River on our way to Coex to see Rio 2. We had a 5 pm show which meant only one thing: we got to leave home 1.5 hour earlier. 'Tis a beautiful day with bright sunshine along the way. As we're driving along the Han River, I couldn't help (like always) but taking my camera out and 'immortalize' the moment. Far beyond the under-construction Lotte Tower (would-be the tallest building --hence dubbed the tallest skyscraper of Seoul) is visible. 

Coex signage is visible which meant only one thing (again), it's time to cross the bridge and reach the Southern bank of the river (Gangnam area). 

In less than 5 minutes, we're approaching the main street of Gangnam (could be mistaken though) where the Coex and WTC were located--the place we're heading to). 

Since it's 퇴근시간 (gee what is it in English...:( !! ) anyway...we're stuck in a traffic. But, wait..it's Saturday and no one's working or supposed to be working..so it meant only one thing...people do flock to this area considering its fame.

We just finished watching the movie and since dusk was approaching,we rushed ourselves to get back home. And..snap!! The sunset over Seoul Tower (beyond) was breathtaking in reality...but...*ginger* ..^^ my camera could not do justice to the beauty of that Saturday evening.

Then,we're heading towards the lanes leading to the intersection that would take us home...with (again and again) the landmark of Seoul--The Seoul Tower--in its background. 

The twilight set in. 

Nothing so eerily beautiful like this. I mean..for a vampire* like me (?) whose main transportation is (underground+dark) subway....having a chance to snap a picture of twilight like this....was of course..a moment not to be missed.  

A sight to behold. (at least for me....for a vampire* like me). 

Hmm...okay. It's nice to change the way I see Seoul like this one.

*vampire: I consider myself as a vampire since I almost never see daylight on my daily routines due (thanks) to Seoul subway.^^

Hangang Park: Youinaru Park

Hangang Park at night was lighted up with shimmering lights from the surrounding buildings or cars passing on the bridges or from the ferries passing by the river.

I know that the pictures did not do any justice to the beauty of the area. 

Okey, we went there by bus number 261 from Imundong that goes straight to Youido and Youinaru. It goes there after circling downtown....what a ride. But, one thing for sure, I know how Seoul looks like at night through a nigh bus ride

The Seoul Tower far beyond is flickering and the Ferry boat that takes passengers and tourists to enjoy Seoul at night through river cruise was seen passing us by.

Eyra and Freya were holding their pencil cases with Talking Tom and Talking Angela picture on them.

The ferry was illuminated with the changing color of lights that somewhat a feast to the eyes.

Namsangol Hanok Village <남산골 한옥마을> part 7

En route to the rear gate of the village....

 I was so intrigued to take a picture while lying myself on the green plain terrace of neatly trimmed lawn where the Seoul Tower shooting up beyond. 

Actually, I was not supposed to be inside the lawn….but I was so tempted to take myself into jeopardy should I be caught by the CCTV…which I am sure I was--. At least, it was a relief that I managed to lay myself on the green lawn and my friend, Jobirson, took a quick snap of me being there. 

What an experience!

Isn’t that worth-it? (at least, I would say it isJ).
