An Empty Seoul Station @ Night

I was going home from Ansan by subway..and later on found out that the train I was on....stopped at Sadang station which was still far away from home. So, got out of the subway station..trying to find the bus..only to find the only one bus no.502 heading towards Seoul Station transfer center. Okay..got it. Then...after about 20 minutes or so, I arrived at Seoul station...and luckily it was still opened..at about 01.20...I still had time to go inside and use the restroom^^..and boy..its' the first time ever that Seoul station was in its state of 'void' from people....^^

Yup...it's almost 01.30 am where the passengers gone..and no trains coming in or out of the station. It's a new feeling of being inside the busiest station in Seoul....with not many souls visible.

So..I took the chance to look around and take some snaps of it...while I could.^^

The people I saw were mostly the security in charge of keeping the station safe and sound.

Not a minute too soon...at about 01.30...there's an over-voice heard....asking us to exit from the station since it's going to be closed.

Yup, that's a new experience of being inside Seoul station...on Saturday, Feb.07,2016..when not many people were around.

To think that it's Seollal's holiday..!!

Frozen Han River (part 5): Keep On Swimming or Strolling

Han river could be so inviting for some..to plunge themselves into..especially during summer...and that's why..this particular lifebuoy was set up in the designated places...where accidents such as drownings are prone to occur.

Okay..I kept on strolling along the riverbank...and found some dried tall grasses...dancing to the incoming winds..../ It's not much..but at least..this was the vegetation I could see along the road...

See? No one's there. I was a bit ...well...confused myself..as to why I ended up being there. Not that I didn't remember it, it's just that I was thinking of going home instead of wandering further away from the spot where I came from. That means...I had to walk..much farther..to reach the bus stop. But, they..that's a part of the journey...of exploring Han river during winter.

Some apartments are being constructed. I just simply cannot imagine how much they'd cost. I mean..just look at them, they are all facing the river..which according to Fengshui..it's one of the ways to blend harmoniously with nature...to get some luck in return. *oh, well.

...Got enough of freezing myself to the bones...and it's time for me to go home.....by bus. Not by subway..since the latter would require me to walk...and walk...before reaching the station.

So, the only possible way for me to go home faster..was by taking a bus from UNDER the bridge. Yep...the brigde has an elevated road and the one beneath it. It's Banpo bridge....

Saw this read ball....frozen in time...and snow..

Banpo Bridge...reflected onto the surface of the river. Oh, I spotted some ducks live under the bridge..and that's pretty amazing considering the cold weather and freezing water they live at. gee....but, that's the mystery of nature.

Over Cheongnyangni Station

As usual, I wouldn't have been attracted to something unless it did have something that caught my attention. This one....in particular....was the fact that there was this one single chimney...coughing up its smoke....

....looking at it from the 8th floor of the parking lot where I was standing...

in the midst of -15 degree Celsius ...I was crazy enough to go out...

yup..the sky wouldn't tell us if it's winter....but the smoke would.

The barren-looking apartments were just ordinary things we can see as far as we can see right here in Seoul...if you feel like ...got trapped in the jungle of concrete....of the same design.

Only in winter can we see the smoke billowing from.the.chimneys across the city.

but..even in the most monotonous and ordinary scenery....I tried my best to feel something out of ordinariness....

The simple-looking design broke out the conventionalism of what the rest of the buildings look like.

I was just spending my time on the parking lot when I started clicking on my camera.

the crowded space....squeezed into the tiny lot of land...where people crammed themselves into the daily lives in Cheongnyangni area.

yup..it's where I was standing to see all of these.

It was still an.empty.parking.lot. (for a reference)

Look Up the Sky

....a look into...

Youido...and other Seoul venues.

But now, it's  Youido's premier venue...

I loved it when I could enjoy my time photographing the city with no obstruction.

IfC Mall and offices....to shine.

.indeed....a great spot to hang out...

...with ambience in its own style.

...full.range of entertainment and business accommodation to care for...

...one just needs to.take a look...

...and ready to be mesmerized by its sheer simplicity.

From the Riverbank. . .

Walking under the zigzagging highways...날씨가 넘 추워도 계속 한강쪽으로 걸어가고 있었다.

Pertama sih...wow...asyiik asyiik...but then I realized that it's freezing cold...and 바보처럼 계속 사진만 찍었다.

물론 한가믜 매력적인 유혹에 빠져서...I couldn't think logically. . .

I was literally the only human being in that very spot. It's freezing minus 3 Celsius.

Tapi dasaaaar suray si tukang maksa ini...tetep pengen jeprat-jepret....ignoring the fact that his hands were trembling out of the cold weather!

다행이...정신이 안 나갔다. Secantik-cantiknya pemandangan..jika tubuh gak tahan cuaca....소용이 없잖~잖아요 

So...I quickly clicked my shutters....

Ambil gambar cepet-cepet.

....making sure that I was soundly sober....and.....

. . .being rational.ㅋㅋㅋ

Then...I found myself running towards the subway station. . . Evading the cold snap!
