Seoul Central Masjid at Night

It's one of the things that I loved of going to Masjid..after dusk prayer. It's really giving something to look at...and to enjoy

The sky was bright blue...at night. Simply stunning.

The Masjid itself was majestically shining thanks to the lightings on its facades.

Winter did give it another look and feel....and being able to be there when it's emitting its own beauty...was a bless in itself.

I couldn't help myself....but...taking pictures from every angle available...even when it's minus 7 Celsius at night.

The barren tree branches...silhouettes....the sheer sight of it...indeed made me feel like being transported into a different place...though I knew that I was right in front of the Masjid.

The Allahu Akbar written on top...was also ablaze in lights..and it imbued the already enchanting sight of the Masjid.

Now..I walked to the right side of the parking lot to see what it looked like from there. Oh, the trees indeed gave it another feel and look.

Then..from another angle. This time around..I tried to take an angle from the stairs...

It's taken from the stairs leading to the Masjid. 

Built in 1974 and officially opened for public in 1976, this Masjid has been one of the Islamic symbols in Korea and in Seoul in particular.

Ini seharusnya entri kemarin Jumat tp lupa.ok...saat Jumatan...

Ketemu Pak Saiful Islam..tmn yg adh selesai program Doktornya. Berarti Pak Saiful hrs balik ke Indonesia.

Yup....jd mumpung bertemu...ya harus ada foto kenangan.^^

Alhamdulillah....semua lancar.

Selamat kembali mengemban tugas di tanah air, Pak.

Masjid di Seoul

About 30 minutes after the Friday prayer finished, less and less people were seen around the Masjid....and that gave me enough freedom to take some pics.

It's scorching hot....but it's such a bright day that it helped me focus my cam.

The first thing that caught my attention was the wall-mounted display-amp

Also the exterior of the walls.

As well as the door knob...

Or the rather dilapidated upper wall.

Ke Musholla Al Falah @ Yongdeungpo Seoul

hari ini pagi~pagi ke musholla dan kosong....blm ada yg datang. Ya gpp...iseng2 ambil gambar dulu.

suasana ruang utama ibadah saat pagi hari.

musholla terletak di lantai 2 gedung itu. Bisa lewat pintu di tengah itu.

dari stasiun Yongdeungpo. ..keluar exit 4 dan jalan lurus...

dan melihat pemandangan spt ini...trs ambil gang pertama....

dari situ hanya 100 meter sj.

Masjid Yongdeungpo

Siapa sangka bahwa di atap masjid Yongdeungpo kita bisa berehat-rehat santai menikmati tenggelamnya sang Surya? Yup..ini kuambil dari atas atap masjid Yongdeungpo. Wow....  

Dan....inilah atapnya..jika masih siang hari. Terlihat stasiunnya lengkap dengan berbagai aktivitasnya.. 

Jika malam hari akan terlihat seperti ini. Indahnya...

Nah..di bawah atap ini..ada apakah?

Anak-anak ikut kegiatan Pondok Ramadan.  

Saat Magrib tiba, kami pun mulai berbuka...*Oya, ini adalah kali pertamaku ke Masjid ini. 

Banyak jajanan pasar hasil 'potluck' dari berbagai keluarga yang hadir di acara Buka Bersama hari itu. 

Beberapa orang sholat sunnah dulu sebelum Magrib dimulai...

Ternyata..interiornya lebih bagus dari yang kubayangkan sebelumnya. Memang tak begitu besar, namun cukup untuk menampung beberapa puluh jamaah. 

Untuk para wanita, di sebelahnya ada juga ruangan khusus. 

Kudapati mbak Uswariyah sedang mempersiapkan menu bukanya. Ya...ibu yang satu ini memang super sibuk di mana-mana. Saya yakin perannya di Masjid ini besar pula. 

Solat Magrib sudah dimulai. Kusengaja ..took a step back...to capture this moment. 

Malam sudah beranjak..dan akhirnya kunaik lagi ke atap Masjid untuk mengabadikan Magrib di hari itu. June 2015. Ramadan di Seoul. 

 

Tepat pukul 10, kami pun segera pulang...yup..jaraknya lumayan jauh juga dari rumah.

Going to Yongdeungpo

I sent the kids first....by subway. 

I let them ride by themselves. 

With the new green bag she colored herself. 

Meeting up with other kids who were also going to Yongdeungpo...for Ramadan event for the kids.

Along with Tante Nia, they're going together.

As for me? 

I was going there by car with my friend, mas Khoirul. 

Let's drive through Seoul ...on a bright afternoon. 

 

이 쯤이면...사진 찍을 때과 되죠. 

Then...I noticed a newly built apartment..? 

along Han River...

Then...going up to the Mapo Bridge..

지나가야 하겠다. 

a great afternoon to spend... 

Then..off into Youido Business District. 

Full of office towers...as most CBD is.

......

Then..slowly..we're approaching the Yongdeungpo...and ready to meet our girls who were there already.
