자전거를 타 보니.... (part 2)

"아름다움을 간직한 도시 풍경을 색다르게 볼 수 있네요"라는 느낌이 저절로 나왔다.

아마도 이러한 모습을 어디서나 볼 수 있는데. ..거의 3시간 동안 자전거를 탔기 때문에. ...민감하게 하늘을 보고...감탄을 할 수밖에 없었다.

어디냐하면...여기는 바로 어린이 대공원이다.

처음으로 여기까지 자전거를 타고 와 보니까 참 뿌듯 뿌듯^^

Oops...스마트폰을 주머니에 넣으려고 했는데. ..몰라보게 찍은 거예요. ...진짜..이거 뭔데^~^

Unplanned Picnic

Picnic in winter? why not. cold it was.

But it did not dampen our spirit of having a picnic ...outdoor.

we didn't plan this since we accidentally bump into each other at the park. 

we're just having a french-fries fiesta:)

Pony Ride@ Children Grand Park

I told the kids not to ride on any camel or pony or any attractions since they did it, once. But then..oh, well... 

They insisted on riding just one pony this time. No camels. But still, one short ride that lasted about 2 minutes cost 3,500 Won for each kid.  

But then....seeing Freya's priceless smile and happiness on her face....

all of my grunts simply gone.! 

She seemed to be so happy having this experience. 

"Freya, turn....and look at Daddy!" 

Then...wait..who's this? Oh, I guess it's Eyra...! 

She's too--her happy look on her face is so precious. 

It's nice of them to let parents take pictures of their children on the pony horse.

I hope the pony horse can get a decent life...because they work very hard to please the hearts of children. 

Dilapidated Train @ Children Grand Park

It's the first time ever we went to Children Grand Park via its rear entrance. We usually visit this place through the main gate, so when we went there and found out that the rear entrance offered something else...I felt elated. 

One of the things was that there was this dilapidated (well, not really) or worn out train used in the 1950's. The fact that the train (locomotive and its compartments) is placed just like that...seemed to be unbelievable. The corroded machine due to the changing weather must have taken effect onto it, though. 

well, ..that's what makes it even more tempting to look at.  

What a great way to look at this old train, right? 

The old and worn out train seemed too cool to overlook. 

so. I dared myself to get on top of it.

I didn't see any sign of 'no trespassing' or any sort of warning..so I might as well get on it.^^ oops. 

I love trains so much that I couldn't help myself not to jump and sit on it:)

JAZZ+KIDS: would they mix?

Yes, there was a jazz concert in the park that day. And as a jazz lover, how could I just pack and leave? No way!!! So, I begged the kids to 'accompany' their Daddy hahahahaha!

But..I got to BRIBE them with ICE CREAM.

well..okay..anything, Dear!

It's 30 minutes before the show started and yet...still not many people came in. The seating arrangement in the park was so huge that I guess..it could accommodate a thousand people or more.

so, the event was 'Jazz (Music Concert) in the Forest'

숲 속의 음악회. I wish I'd known about it earlier..since there was a classic music concert in the previous week.:( :-)^!^

Here they were...with their ice cream ...to calm them down...^^ ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

but ...it DID work, though.

so jazz and kids: would they mix? No! But, it'll change into YES..if you just know how to work it out. (in my case: I got to 'lure' them to sit and try as might to enjoy it)

But, how long would they last...enjoying the concert? 

hmmm....let's see.

The sun's about to set...and the show..I guess..was also about to start.

People with their dinner in hands...began to sit down scattering around the benches.

Now I realized that they're having their dinner + drinks while enjoying the music concert.

The whole view of the outdoor stage where jazz around the world concert was held.

Alright, then. the musicians are adjusting their musical instruments..before...giving us a journey around the world through jazz.

Just as I expected, couples, young and old, kids with families, friends, were having to start/end their weekend with this musical concert.

We 'began' our weekend!

Just the Three of Us: Water+Picnic+JAZZ!!! @ Children Grand Park (part 2)

The first reason why they dragged me out to this park was no other than....splashing themselves into the creek.  

They just could not wait to plunge into the ankle-deep creek...and had the best of their time in the park. and as for me? I was just watching them from afar.... 

It's not that hot that day, still..the glaring of the sunlight should be a consideration when it comes to taking the kids out in the water like this. 

Luckily, the management of the park provided the canopy-like tent to cover the whole area of the creek where most children were playing. 

As for the adults, they could just hang around inside the colorful tents set up next to the creek.  

As for us, we just spread out a thin blanket which served as a picnic mat:)^^

easy and light to carry.

The girls were having their snacks. Hungry, eh? 

Not a minute too soon, right after I told them the snack's gone:)...they're 

they're once again...playing around the shady part of the park. 

running around, playing hide-and-seek (yes..just the two of them), and... 

they seemed to have found something that aroused their curiosity. 

I didn't know what...until.... 

I saw them dragging long sticks..which I presumed was...the fallen branches of the tree!!

gosh  "Girls, you two..come back here at once. Throw that away...and come right here!!"

I told them to get rid of those branches... 

It's 6 pm already..and we're about to leave..when I read an announcement about that night's jazz around the world at the open stage!! 

Yippey....we're not going home yet!

Yes, girls. But..this is for Daddy, Ok?

I know you didn't know what jazz is. But, let me assure you that you won't be disappointed...(I wished).

so...I managed to 'persuade' the girls to stay for 1.5 hours more...at the park...to sort of 'accompanying' their Daddy in (trying) to enjoying the jazz concert.

Just the Three of Us: Under the Tree (Children Grand Park: part 1)

It's Saturday. mid noon. Mommy's staying home. Me and the girls went out for an afternoon picnic @ Children Grand Park. Set up the picnic mat, and me..laying down on my back facing up against the sky....under the shady tree.  

Yes..it's a relaxing feeling of being able to lay down myself in the park...feeling the breeze of the air...without any worries lingering on.... 

Enjoying the day, watching other groups of people doing the same thing: Saturday picnic on Summer afternoon in August. 

Hmm...wonder when I'll be able to do this again. 

Sure...I can if I want to.^^ 

Make the best of time before the start of the semester on the first week of September.

Where were the girls? They're busy swimming....I mean...playing in the water...

at the creek just around the corner...of where I was laying down..myself.

Zoo @ Children Grand Park

Two Daddies with the kids including mine. 

The hot summer day did not hinder the kids from exploring the zoo. The sky was bright blue. 

Lion in a glass cage. 

The see-through glass cage was designed to cater the need of kids' curiosity. 

and it did. they never stopped admiring and 'discussing' what they were looking at. 

From the balcony, we could see how the glass cage looked like.  

Even other sections of the view-points were designed more like a glassed apartment. ^^ I 

I mean, just look at it. Isn't it cool to have a view like this at the back of our very own home?^^ 

But..with the wild beasts included? hmm...I am doubtful about that. 

Okay, back to the kids. They seemed to get immersed into what they saw. 

And my fear was that...the glass might crack. Oh, Suray...please, stop it. 

Freya seemed to get interested in other thing.

I did not know what. 

People. blue sky. glass-caged animals. 

Room with view. Only that it IS a zoo. 

Wait,!! A dinosaur walking down the stairs??? 

A leopard? A cheetah? A jaguar? A tiger? Not one of them? then, what is it?

but..once we walked pass the playground, they were like being transported into the most energetic wave of power, they were ready to play again. Yet, it's already 6 pm.
