Bee-zy Freya

She just got home from school and yet she did not feel like wanting to take a rest or so. Instead, she just spread out E-mart commercial paper on the floor and rolled out a piece of paper complete with her own set of water coloring tools. 

I knew what she's getting into....she just loved painting. Guess it's a thing she learned at school. As she usually cannot wait any longer to 'replicate' or 'duplicate' what she'd just learned at school. 

Then again...I  

I grabbed my camera to capture what she'd bee doing all that long.  

Well..this is the half-finished flowers and butterflies she's coloring. 

*One thing that I notice about this kind of activity is the fact that she does prepare most of them by herself and as soon as she finishes her activity, she puts stuffs back onto their original places. A lesson she learns from school? is it? good, then.

Children's Day of Their Own

It's May and May 5 is Children's Day in Korea. Continuing our story of 'making stuffs out of scraps found at home' and --at the same time--celebrating 어린이날 (Children's Day) at home for the kids...^^, I'd like to post what the kids were doing at home. 

They cut, paste, and arrange designed-papers after coloring them. Surely they knew what they wanted to make. 

And after making the first one which looked like a pond of fish, they seemed to be making a different stuff which looked like a colorful fan. 

and I was half right since it turned out to be a flower. Gee..I didn't have the slightest idea of where they got the idea of making those stuffs. But, I am glad that they did. I mean they must've learned it somewhere....and I was right--> School!!! 

Eyra got it from school and now she's showing her sister how to make it. 

Nice girl. I see it as one of the ways they engage and communicate with one another at a home-based activities.

"A family of four" drawn by Freya. She gave it to me as a surprise one day when I got home from school. I've been keeping them and I think I got to take a pic of it and make it preserved online.

As for this one, I definitely could tell that it's Eyra's. She loves whales.

Freya's Summer Splash @ Kindy (part 1)

Wednesday, July 17 was Indoor and Outdoor Summer Activities for Freya and her friends at Hwigyeong Kindergarten. 

Their teachers were giving instructions of what to do during the 3-hour fun of summer splash. 

One of the things the kids enjoyed was watching a balloon artist creating imaginable works of arts out of balloons. 

Like this what-is-it-?, then kind of balloon? 

Even, the kids' mommies and daddies were tagging along the instructions from the balloon artist to make one of their own. 

I think he must be so exhausted of having to make one balloon for each kid.

Well, he started it in the first place, right:?^-^
