전주콩나물국밥

So hungry after almost 2 hours struggling with the recording session at the studio.

Got one hour left before picking up Eyra from school and I knew exactly what I wanted to have for lunch: Jeonju Kongnamul gukbab or sprouts soup ala Jeonju.

Its price? Jusy 6,000 won complete with its sidedishes and all.

Since it's lunchtime...and it's fully booked...I sat on a lone chair .....facing the alley....with the advantages...of enjoying the people on the street. 

Morning Walk

On my way to work, I took a different path from what I usually took on weekdays. Instead of taking subway, I took a bus from home which led me to this pedestrian.

The trees were barren...with no leaves...which somehow only accentuated the presence of winter. 

..then...passing the hangeul walls along the office corridors.

one man was sitting on the wall.

it turned out to be a statue!

My favorite spot I spotted that morning was none other than these rows of rental bikes waiting for the thrill-seekers in the park.

It was about 9.45 a.m.when I passed the park...so the mist and stuff were still vividly intact.

Approaching my workplace...where a line up of restaurants and cafes were yet to open. Parasols were still folded.^^

전주 콩나물국밥 Jeonju's Sprout Soup:-)

This is Jeonju kongnamul gukbab (전주 콩나물국밥). When it comes to Jeonju, people usually associates the city with Bibimbab (mixed rice). But...not always. I think ...this kongnamul gukbab should come first or at the same time.

This is a great recipe for cold winter like this. And for me..this is what popped out of my mind when I was having a cold last week. This really made my day.

I felt like I was energized after having this 'hot and spicy concoction' 

I could eat them all .....all by myself. a rare occasion for someone who cannot eat a lot.

(just kidding). Simply because it was so delicious..I could savor this 전주 콩나물국밥.

now..I am a frequent customer at this Jeonju kongnamul gukbab restaurant in Yeouido.
