ㅖㅐ개개Pororo

뽀로로 'Pororo' and his friends come to Paris Baguette. A smart combination of two indispensable brands in Korea. One of the biggest chain store of bread, cookies, cakes shops in Korea + One of the most lovable characters in Korean modern history...have come up with one mission and a bright vision. Why not...!

 Any kid in Korea would love to be with or be spending their time with the lovable Pororo, a little penguin. the funny thing was that..I could never say No to the kids' request whenever they got what they want...especially when it comes to have something to do with Pororo. true^^

Ok, another story: this pic. was taken in front of Paris Baguette bakeshop at Wanghshimni station. The kids love Pororo so much that even  Eyra is planning on ordering a birthday cake from the shop...with a very small Pororo and his friends as chocolate garnish or adornment.

E-Mart Wangshimni

confused? perplexed? amazed? amused? excited? pondering over what to choose from the seemingly endless arrays of toys at E-Mart. 

The kids love going to the store simply to check out the toys available. Of course, I do not always let them buy or buy them thing they ask for granted. They got to save some of their pocket money first in order to buy toys. They learned their lessons.
Whenever they are in the toys kingdom, they never miss the chance of going to Tayo, Pororo, and Poli Robocar sectios. The three characters and their friends have found a warm place inside the kids' hearts. Or should I say..the kids have something to tell their parents of what to buy.
Up to now: Pororo, Tayo, and Poli Robocar have been the central theme of their lifestyle^^in Korea.

Poli the RoboCar.... Finally...

Eyra and Freya have been going over heel about this animated character Poli the Robocar 폴리 로보카. They've been asking me to buy the toy version of them. So, I asked both of them and asked them to promise ....that should they be good to each other...and (as for Eyra)...should she be good at school and be good at doing her homework.....I'd be more than willing to buy them the toys they wanted.
So, I did cos they did.

Last night, we went to Tesco's Home Plus where all of the toys were there as if the place was meant to be the heaven of kids' imagination. Ok, we did not just go there and grab things and went back home. We did go to Kyobo Bookstore at Gwanghwamun. I got to buy this TOPIK (Test of Proficiency in KOrean) that I desperately need right now....since I'm going to take the test this coming April. ^^

Ok...back to Eyra's business....as soon as I got what I wanted, I took them to Home Plus at Yongdu station or Dongdaemun-gu Office station...just about 20 minute subway ride (including transfer). We thought it would be a warm evening.....but ...unfortunately...it was windy and cold...so, we were feeling a bit cold.
Not that bad, though.
Just look at the bright faces of Eyra and Freya. I think their excitement of having the new toys in hand beat the shivering cold weather of last night.
What a relief.
Exhausted of going around each floor of the newly renovated Home Plus store, we had dinner at Lotteria at the food plaza. Oh, we also ordered tteokpukki the hot ones. For only 3000 Won, we could get one of the chewy and delicious tteokpukki that my wife loves so much.
OK..that's pretty much what happened last night.
* Oh, on our way back home...on subway we met two Indonesian friends who happen to be studying at KDI, a campus near mine.

Robocar Poli

My daughters have been crazy head over heels about Korea-made characters e.g. Tayo ( the talking bus); Pororo (the cute penguin); and now...they like  the Robocar Poli & her friends in the world of the talking vehicle, ambulance, fire trucks and helicopter)...Since they like them so much, it is at times....a bit hard from them to get themselves get away from TV or internet......simply to do something else. So, I might as well make sure that they learn something out of it. One thing for sure, they are now learning Korean and are getting used to listening Korean  language. Good., then.

Apart from that, now they started to make their own version of the characters out of the  play doh. It was another good advantage of  their so-called 'infatuation' to the characters. I think Eyra's   preoccupation with them has --to some extent-- extended her imagination and creativity. It's a good thing, then.

Well, then...it is a bit of view of what Poli looks like^^
