Panda & Other Exhibits @ DDP~Seoul ep.11

We came to Dongdaemun Design Plaza to see the 1600+ pandas...but it turned out we got more than what we'd expected. Like this one: a plush red sofa (?)

Anyhow...we'd have regretted it, had we not seen the major attraction: the pandas....just like what most people in this picture were doing.

...then...just when I thought that seeing the pandas would be enough and help me continue my daily life....but then I saw candies...I mean roses...the LED type. 

You got..panda and then some.

 It's the tallest fashion center in Dongdaemun. Viewed from the Watergate.

Been to DDP many times, yet it's my first time to this part of the building.

Always love this kind of combination.

Freya, you learn something or two from this spot as well, right, Dear?

Imagine what it was like back then. 

At the other section of the building...there were hundreds of pandas.

hmm...who wouldn't want those cuddle-able cuties.???

We made a good decision to visit the venue on Friday since the exhibit lasted up to 8pm.

Dongdaemun Design Plaza ep.6: the underground

yep...from the used-to-be watergate at Dongdaemun, the towering fashion district is distinctively visible.

...an elevator is spotted!

Yup..it's colorfully lighted.

to give it a stark contrast to this underground watergate from where I took this picture.

Turning my back, I could see some parts of Dongdaemun Design Plaza.

An alien spacecraft and arched stone bridge.

The mixture of modern~traditional feel around the complex.

The lighting designed to highlight the depth did enhance the night view.

Illuminated Design @DDP ep. 5

At least that's how I saw it. It was simply inviting and alluring.

The design itself was like nothing I saw before.

It enhanced the dramatic backdrop...which was none other than the DDP itself.

...from afar...it's like emanating from a SF movie.

yes....there's a sort of alien-like feel to it.

And the glaringly silhouettes....

....which came from my wife...^^

☆oh well...

DDP had played tricks on me....I guess^^
