What a surprise to finally meet him again after two months!

He's my student at UT Korea and I gave him the book in which he wrote one chapter about his experiences of photographing Korea's charms.

Stopping by for what?

nothing more than just 양념감자 the seasoned french fries that Eyra likes. 

As Eyra and her Mom were heading home and still had a 30-minute interval of transfer time, they thought of having a light meal, which turned out to be not so light after all.

french fries + patpingsu 팥빙수 ..which still counts as the cheapest one among patpingsu at other stores.

Eyra's seen ....trying to mix the onion flavor powder into the fries..and shake them well. 

now...time to enjoy the patpingsu..again, dear. 

As for me...I'd prefer having my chocolate sundae. 

* Yes, we're 2 km apart ...away from each other....at the same time...eating different stuffs and different location...only to find out that we're actually 'stopping by' at different FF restaurant ....and digging into something to cool us off from the heat...^^

Blueberry (Pat)pingsu, Anyone?^^

It's summer, alright. It's our FIRST ever patpingsu for this year's summer. ㅋㅋㅋ We sure take pride of this:) gee. Well, I've been sweating..and as I picked Eyra from school..I was wondering if Eyra would be easily tempted to try out the first patpingsu...and not to my surprise she said okay. 

At first, I was thinking of having our first patpingu 팥빙수 at Lotteria since it's cheaper ^^ but...dear oh dear....Eyra got her eyes set at the one actively promoted at Paris Baguette.:) 

So, we went there instead..and well..she seemed to enjoy it.  

Okay, blueberry has been, is, and will be(??) her favorite fruit in the first place..so...she chose it right away off the menu list...disregarding the mango or even the original 팥빙수 that I'd had in mind.

Okay...it turned out that it DID NOT even have a 팥 not even one in it..since it was NOT patpingsu..but Blueberry pingsu. ㅋㅋㅋ

Okay..I got it.

At least..the $6 patpingsu..I mean blueberry pingsu could soothe her craving (wait..it was my craving in the first place).

and the verdict???????? we'd never order it any more....we'd prefer the original one.:) *chuckles*

Kalo nggak sama mamanya...ya sama papanya. jan...jan...kalo enggak es krim yo...lotteria..kalo enggak Baskin Robbins ya...pokoke men..es krim maning...es krim maning. ^^ 

Kakean jajan tenan cah loro iki. Lha piye coba....wis dipengeng ora kene. lha bapak karo embok-e juga seneng jajan kalo lagi jalan-jalan. ^^ 

Yo wis...asalkan kalian senang...dan sadar bahwa jajan itu nggak setiap hari. ^^.

boleh seminggu sekali..itu pun harus pake kartu diskon lho ya. lek ora ya jebol :)

Aha Moment!

We're having a light lunch @ Lotteria when we encountered this sentence!

"Happy is the man who finds a true friend, and far happier is he who finds that true friend is his wife. 

Okay..that may be true. But, considering the fact that not all customers to Lotteria are married couples...ㅋㅋㅋ I wonder as to whether this sentence accommodates most people's happiness.

Ice Skating @ Kwangwoon University

Now kids, let's get started. First, those in kindergarten should be in the front and tag along the ski skating instructor of today. Freya, being the smallest one, was in the lead. 

It was Freya's first time ever on ice rink...let alone having any prior experiences of ice skating. But to my surprise, she was eager to do it..though at first...she kept on holding tight on the handrail. 

As for her sister, it was her 3rd time. She's lucky that she got her previous ice skating lessons thanks to her school's program. 

Just look at the kids on their lessons on how to ice skate. They were the kids of multicultural families (except us^^) in Korea. Most of them have multicultural backgrounds: either from their Mom or Dads. 

This is our weekend activity where kids from Korea and other nationals meet and get along together to learn about each other through various activities: This wee: ice skating.

How great it is that this ice rink is just a 15 minute ride by bus or 25 minute ride (including the walking part^6) by subway from home. 

This young instructor patiently taught the kids about how to scoop and skate. Guess he's pretty patient with the kids of  

I just realized that the helmets the children put on their heads were mostly yellow. 

Eyra and Freya did not seem to be scared or afraid at all. In fact, they kind of enjoyed it.

But, after a a while, Freya just gave up. She insisted on taking the skiing boots all the time. 

As for her sister, she kept on doing it and she pretty much got the hang of it and now I could proclaim that she pretty much nailed it. 

Freya and Eyra: separated by a pane of glass. 

Break-time: we were having some snacks, ramen, chocolate, bread, water, and....oranges. 

I thought that after a break, most of them would feel so tired..but we were wrong, almost all of them tried back on skiing I mean...skating. Eyra, too.  

This is when Eyra showed of f what she could accomplice today. In fact, I thought that this has been one of the best things of being in shape and focused on what the training would bring about. 

She kept on going back and forth and circling the rink for more than 12 times.!!! 

In fact, I should have captured all of the moments. 

She pretty much knew nothing about skating until today....everything seemed so wonderful, she said. She was like flying when she scooped over the ice. 

She was about to fall when I captured this.^^ 

But, as soon as she got off again, she kept on looking for her friends...and it seemed that they get along well.

Toay's program was then sealed in Lotte @ Cheongnyangni. 

Lotte World during Seollal (part 3)

The mini version of Gyro Drop^^ Eyra and Freya turned out to like this ride ..

so much that they even kept on taking the same ride for over 10 times.

Well, I saw the same kids took the ride over and over again.

What would a visit to Lotte World be, without going out to the Magic Island which is located just outside the indoor theme park.  

Wait...what is this picture, doig here? 

Back to the Magic Island, we thought that it would not be a good time to take the kids outside since it was freezing cold. 

 

But, luckily, both of them seemed to enjoy the fiesta. 

How come that I was never in the picture.hehehe. 

coz I felt like I was there even when it was just Eyra and Freya taking the picture. 

queuing for the 1-minute train ride. Worth the wait? hmm I guess it was for the kids. 

It was a good thing that the colorful displays of ornaments were a good thing to see.

Freya insisted on taking in charge of the train. And she did. 

..On our way back to where it started. the tiny loop railway 

Then, we took a long wait just to take this slim and tiny monorail to circle around the theme park. 

hmm ..back to the Magic Island. I guess it was on our way back home.

A flying pirate boat that swung back and forth inside the mall. Did I take a ride on it?

No way!

 

Ready to embark on a monorail train journey.

Merry Go Around.....

The first time I could enjoy this park. Usually..I would just stay and stare at it. I'd prefer Rollercoaster ride than this one. But, hey...it turned out to be fun, too. 

The night show at the garden stage. It was an Egyptian show. 

wait.not this one. I hardly recognize what it was..^^

Oh, right..it was still a show with an Egyptian style and atmosphere. 

The whole cast members gave a last bow before the curtain rolled down. 

And as for the kids? They were back to the much-loved ride...
