A Poised Posh...:-( ^^

After waiting for one hour, finally I met my kids whom I asked to join me at the mall. I asked them to come to IFC Mall since I thought it would be good to spend time while waiting for dinner and an event that we got to attend to at a nearby venue.

Okay...since it's Christmas eve, shopping mall were packed with people. 

Yes...like in any other places, Natal/Xmas seems to be merrier at the mall.  Having been living for two years in Korea....where Christmas has become some sort of more of a cultural thing or wait...'marketable' occasion, we sort of getting used to getting exposed to it. so, kids..just get on the Santa's cart.

anyway...of course, it's a poised posh. (whatever that means).

Bumped into a Troupe @ IFC Mall

Just got back from the office what could be more entertaining than having myself a little extra time to enjoy 'tis Holiday seasons? So, while waiting for the kids to come, I took my time to look around and ended up encountering the 'commotion'. 

The so-called clown and other characters clad in this season's atmosphere were strolling and trotting around each level of the mall. For what? 

well, none other than to greet the customers and anyone (including me, for sure) who preferred to stay in door in this warm and comfy mall....^^ 

Okay, with the carol songs as the muzak, the atmosphere could not have been more gleeful. 

As the commotion passed me by, I took one last shot of the troupe....circling around the mall again and again.

One Picture That Tells What Happens in My Neighboorhood

1. Judging from the cakes, well..yes...we have the nearest Baskin Robbins just next to our apartment. And...it so happened to be Xmas..and all of the ice cakes were all so alluringly mouth-watering in the eyes of the passer-by..no matter how cold the weather is.

2. The men in tights (sorry)..I mean..the seemingly same-height, same-posture men that pass us by especially during weekends are young cadets who are undertaking a training at a nearby  Korea Military Academy.

3. The red-and-white balloons signify that there is a newly opened store (yes, it's a smartphone store). I got some brochures on my way home..though the man who gave it to me must've known from my looks that I am a foreigner who (under the current law) would be able to subscribe the new version of smartphones on a contract basis. Foreigners only have rights to have a pre-paid card smartphone:-). oh.....there goes LTE or any other high-speed connection...

4. The big red and black motorcycle being parked still kept me wondering who owns it. But...since most of the motorcycles in Korea are mainly used for delivery service...I could only assume that this one, too...is also used for delivering stuffs.:-)

5. I cant' think of anything else...

Freya Got a X'mas Present??^^

Well, it's something that all kids in Korea get in this season.

I mean...no matter as to whether you celebrate Christmas or not, if you are a kid, ..okay..let's say...if they are kids (as long as they are kids), they probably end up receiving this season's presents--irrespective of their parents' religion. (I don't say all but ...probably a lot of them)

Just like what my daughter got this week from her school. Santa harabeoji (Santa Clause) came to her school and gave each kid a bag full of present.

Well, then...who's not celebrating X'mas then?

I mean, I think...after having it an after thought...Christmas seems to be an indispensably cultural thing in Korea.
