Mangoes! !!!!!!!

It's 30 minutes before the train arrived, yet I managed to buy 8 kg og mangoes at Setono Bethek market in Kediri. 

Thanks to Ricky my brother-in-law who showed me the rear entrance to the market in the wee of the night....just when I thought that the market'd been closed^^

10kg for a kilo of mangoes: Podang, Manalagi, and other kinds of mangoes.

Hmmm...lots of fruits I could buy....^^

OMG...Mangga...Mango!!!!!!!!!

It was around 9 pm when I got home..and the smell of the room suddenly took me back into my home in Jogjakarta. Yes, the smell of mango! The irresistible tropical fruit-mango-consumed my mind, my body all at once. 

I maybe exaggerate it a liitttleeee bit...:)

Thanks to Lina, my student who's just been back from Indonesia, we were finally able to eat mango after 2 years!! Yes, two years!

Not that there are no mangoes in Korea, well..there are..in supermarket. but they are mostly....highly overpriced plus not ...that good quality. 

So, upon finding the fact that we could savor and indulge ourselves into the heavenly smell and taste of mango....we're lost! 

We forgot that we ARE in the midst of Winter in the freezing winter:) ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

What happened in the last few days...

- It's been a few days after my wife got back from Jogjakarta. She was in Jogja for two weeks not for a vacation but to see how Mom was doing. She was hospitalized due to her kidney problem --again. But, thank God that she is not back home . .in health. *Wait...I am sure that my wife also DID have a little taste of vacation in between. How could she be able to resist the temptation of all the mouth-watering local food available back home..? ^^
- The kids were so excited to find out that their Mom's back home now. I just loved to see the gleaming and starry eyes as well as the  unconcealable(?) excitement on their face:)

- The night we were waiting for their Mom, I made them some fruits salad of my own version. Since we just could not find what fruits we had in store, I just use the available fruits ...mixed them might as well...just to make it into a bowl of fruit salad: the courtesy of their Dad's unimaginative rendition of what a salad should have been.^^

Dried Rambutan

Never had I been this excited of seeing Rambutan.
But, not the one in my hand (as seen in the picture) which is already dry or dried.
It was freshly picked from the table hotel of Seoul Olympic Parktel when I had dinner for PAS event last week. Well, it is relatively expensive to find any fruits in Korea.
I guess because it was mid Autumn and facing Winter. But, wait..is that the reason as to why it is expensive to buy fruits in here?

I can't answer and argue with that.
So, I brought it home and put it into the pocket of my jacket...until I forgot having it.
The few days afterwards, I just realized that I put it there......
But....too bad...or funnily....I had the jacket laundered.
Out of my curiosity as to whether the laundered jacket would jeopardize the colors of other fabrics.
I checked the whole t-shirts :laundering and  do damage was done.
Although its shape and color did fade, it still retain the original color.
It's a good thing that this rambutan did not do any harm t the familyu?
