Let's Get Physical...?^^

Literally....they were getting their physical condition fit.

Eyra and her friends went out to the indoor gymnasium at her school to have a demo.

We're allowed to take part in the class or just stay there watching the kids do their routine. Yep, it's part of an open-school day where we could just tag along what our kids were doing or studying on that particular day.

Mama came to school at around 9.30 when the kids were having a physical exercise.

Since the event took the whole day, Freya got to be there too otherwise none'd take care of her at home. Well, she pretty much enjoyed it, thankfully. 

Parents spread out picnic mattress all across each space available 

within the school area. 

Others accompanied other kids enjoying at the playground. 

As for Freya?oh, well.... 

From 9 am until 4 pm: almost a day spent at Eyra's school.

So, Freya, how did you like it? Next year...do you want to go to the same school as your sister does?

Autumn Fiesta @ Eyra's School (part 2: tug of war)

Yeachh...Eyra did enjoy the fun-filled all-day long fiesta held at her school.

As fun as it seemed, the dust...oh the dust... 

but...it was nothing compared to what's gonna happen next... 

 

Ball fight. The less ball they have, the higher chance they would be the winner.

So, lots of students tried to throw back the balls into the other side of the square. 

Ball fight was intense...simply because it tempted the kids to keep on throwing back the balls... 

Then...along came the group-running match. 

Oh, did I mention the blue skies? 

it's autumn. the blue autumn skies over there...welcomed the kids and parents alike...during the autumn fiesta.

Autumn Fiesta @ Eyra's School (part 1)

Parents came over to see and supported their children. 

The kids were ready on their designated spots. Each class had its own t-shirt. 

Freya with her friends were draped in red t-shirt. 

The warming us just got started. 

The spirit chanting song was heard... 

to support the pyramid-making race between classes. 

The higher the faster the winner. 

It's simple game yet, meaningful for team building. 

Eyra's team got it done first.

It looks like the science class really captivated them to explore....*dunno* what they're making of.....But, I am sure they did enjoy the time spent during the class.

If only kids are allowed to immerse in the playing-like-world all the time. !!~*

Not an Unusual Sight at the first day of School

Yup..it's also Eyra's first week of school.
Gee...a lot of books and other school-related stuffs had to be prepared beforehand--which means...all parents were like....having a heyday of looking for, buying, taking them home, and bringing them back to school. We did all of those.
There were lists of books and stuffs we got to prepare in advance.
It's a good thing that the school managed to do all of the lists and we just--well--receive them. But, boy..the idea of bringing all of those heavy books back..to school on the first day of school...not to mention the other stuffs....TURNED out to be Hilariously FUN!! Yes, it was fun.
I saw parents...yes..parents...come back and forth to school....making commotions in front of the school gates...seeing their kids off to school...especially those the fresh faces of 1st year students.

But, what caught my eyes this morning was another episode of long-line of parents taking queue ...buying school-related stuffs for their children. I mean..they must've forgot to buy 'trivial' stuffs but nonetheless..essential for the kids. And what happened was...that they were all queuing up in front of a small (and the only one) stationary shop at the school area.
It's a nice morning commotion, indeed. I was passing them by and couldn't help myself from not taking pictures out of it--simply as a token of remembrance that this is one of the unique features of first-day of (elementary) school in Korea...or at least..in the neighborhood where Eyra goes to school.

Eyra's Last Weeks @ School

What could be much more entertaining and fun than having a bliss with friends at school.

So..it was snowing outside..so why not go outside and enjoy the snow. Right, girls? 

Right, boys?

Can't imagine that it's Eyra's school front yard. That's huge..especially when it's covered with snow like this. 

역시 Christmas is coming to class, too.

Well, it's more like a cultural thing here in Korea. Everyone seems to celebrate X'mas.

and just look at all of the decorative works that the children made! 

coo, eh? 

and ...what not to miss before the class? indoor exercise...since it's cold outside. 

and a few days from now..it's gonna be a long holiday.

Eyra's Autumn Field Trip

The problem is that I couldn't remember where she went to. :(

I know..I know..I should've memorized or found some notes about it.

But this is the facade of the very place she went to. 

It looks like some kind of museum.

I am glad that Eyra could get along well with her friends.

Along the Way to School with Eyra

She didn't know that I took this picture until I passed her by and said " hai, Eyra!" 

Eyra's school neighborhood has changed drastically for the past one year. It used to be so crowded with a morning market next to it, now..it is relatively clean and organized--which is a prerequisite for a good education.

Yes, Eyra and her classmate were ready to start their day today.

It's a bit cold in the morning so they wear light jacket on their way to school.

and I bet they took it off once they got to school.

A Visit to Eyra's Class Activities

It's a school-visit day. Yes, parents (both or just one of them) were invited to class to see and experience what their children were doing in class. 

So, since I got a morning class, I couldn't come. Instead, it's Eyra's mom who was there.

Yes, as long as I remember twice or more, parents are invited to see and meet our kids' class teacher. 

Eyra got her chance to read a play (yes, reading it, not acting it out). But, still..a class activities no matter what it was, being shown to parents as it was, is indeed a good way to give us--parents--an understanding of what our kids are doing at school. 

I think we're pretty like it. For the record, Eyra's teacher is an attentive teacher.

We met her a couple of times on different occasion.

They're like inseparable. 

It's a good thing to know that Eyra have friends and at the same time...having best friend. 

It's like a few minute-break or something..and the kids started to make a commotion.

They're requesting their teacher to play an animation.

Hmm..kids.!!!

So, that's how it went on. 

one thing for sure: they like their class.
A short-visit to get an on-hand experience of what our kids were doing at school.
